Eaters (2010, Marcco Ristori, Luca Boni)

Uwe Boll produced poapoc caper. When a virus runs rampant killing 10% of the world population, it's up to .... two bitchy soldiers and a mad scientist? Hmmm.
For all that its blanched colour scheme and sudden divergence into a road movie made up for its shortcomings. Subplots be damned mwhahaha tm etc.

Zoombies tomorrow!!!

How to make a serious horror become a comedy, when they stepped out the house walking down the stairs all I could think of was Morecombe and Wise can do better.

Burial Ground: The Nights Of Terror. 1981.

A group of people, not horny teens but mature couples, one pervy son and one couple who the women seems to psychic gather at a mansion of a archaeologist find themselves surrounded by the walking dead.

This one I seem to have a soft spot for except with the Peter and Mommy part, but she did do her mother part and breastfed him Always been asking myself is this meant to be shot over the course of one or two nights? I'm sure we have seen this and know how the acting is and the strange dubbing but the make up effects are not that bad and good background score.

Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter. 1974.

A expert swordsman and former Soldier Kronos and his hunchback assistant Grost travel to a small village where young girls have been drained of their youth.

This was a film I was never daft on and seemed a bit dull when I was young, it came on T.V a few years back and re-watched it and totally loved it, very underrated film from Hammer Horror. It is a vampire film but in a different way which probably why I was never keen on it at first. Caroline Munro does make a nice leading lady Carla who is rescued from shocks for dancing on a Sunday, not the best thing to do. From start to finish this is entertaining and one I should have paid more attention to when I was younger.

Inseminoid. 1981.

On a distant planet, a archaeology team become under attack from a alien parasite that impregnates a team member turning her homicidal.

A bit of a low budget British take that is a mild rip-off from Alien in a way from the late Norman J. Warren (R.I.P), there is a few noticeable familiar faces with some daft dialogue and a good gore fest. May not be the best Science-fiction film to some but this still entertained little old me.

The Burning

Knowing now what we know now about Harvey kinda makes watching this a bit uncomfortable. Still is a good slasher though.

Blair Witch (2016)

A distinctly average retread of the original Blair Witch Project. Director Adam Wingard basically failed to take in what made the first film a success - things that go bump in the night - bigger is not always better, Adam - and despite a lot more time frantically running round the supposed witch house, (which now appears the size of a blooming mansion) the film continues to annoy the shit out of me, especially as it ends exactly the same as The Blair Witch Project did.

Pumpkinhead (1988)

Stan Winston's terrific morality tale of a demon resurrected from hell by a witch to carry out vengeance is a horror classic that is often overlooked when it comes to 80's horror. Supremely atmospheric with fairytale like qualities and one of the greatest creature designs ever, Pumpkinhead is must see October viewing.

Resident Evil. 2002.

A military unit are sent to a secretive building called "The Hive" when the A.I computer locks the building and with three survivors battle against a horde of zombies.

Being a fan of the PS games I was never sure how this would work but Paul Anderson somehow managed to pull it off, ok there is a few CGI moments but worth the credit to those for doing them decently. Milla Jovovich makes the film worth watching with her bad ass attitude once she has her memory back. What a way to kick off the franchise.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse. 2004.

Alice wakes up in hospital, Raccoon City now over run with zombies, she teams with former S.T.A.R.S member Jill Valentine and Umbrella Commando Carlos and criminal L.J. to rescue the daughter of the doctor who created the T-Virus and escape the city.

This is a decent follow up sequel like the game it goes to the streets and seems a bit more darker toned, kudos to the makers for basically recreating Nemesis without altering it or trying to make it their own version. This has more action in it and even with more actors nobody seems to outshine anyone or take the spotlight. Thomas Kretschamm plays the Umbrella senior corp guy brilliantly and always rooting for him to meet karma.

A bored housewife (Crampton) who is sick of her pastor husband (Larry Fessenden) And dead end life sneaks of one day with her ex boyfriend (Robert Rusler, nightmare on elm street 2, Vamp and Babylon 5) who is promptly killed by a vampire and she is bitten, which starts her too take control of her life , but with the little problem of a thirst for blood. While not the best vampire movie it's enjoyable enough with some good gore, latter half went direction I was expecting . We also have a small role as a deputy for wrestler C.M Punk. Afar better role and film for Crampton than the awful beyond the gates.

Now watching

Was thinking of watching this afterwards , anyone seen it?
