Default RIK'S 10000TH POST

So here it is guys and gals, my 10000th post! And what better place to post it than on the thread dedicated to the reason I joined in the first place
Just want to say thanks to everyone for making this forum as great as it is, meaning I've managed to reach this massive milestone. Like has been said before, it's people that make places great and this place is my favourite non-alcohol serving hangout!

So without further ado, I'd like to share a little something that I've been working on for the passed few weeks. This is a recreation of Fabio Frizzi's awesome theme from Zombi 2 (Zombie Flesh Eaters) that I created using a MIDI sequencer.
It took me ages to work out all the different parts on guitar and then transpose them for keyboard, so I could play them into my software. The only part I didn't play myself was the drums, which I sampled from recordings of the drum kit at college and pasted into a drum sequencer.
I hope you all like it, and as always with any of my music examples that I post here, all criticism is welcome, good or bad

Congratulations on the impressive milestone, buddy! Cult Labs wouldn't be the same without you and your music talents

That Zombi song is awesome! Great job - how long have you been working on it?

All hail the mighty Rik!

Thanks Kyle, I started working on it last month. I originally intended to recreate it on guitar, but after a search on YouTube, I noticed quite a few guitar covers, so I thought I'd attempt a MIDI keyboard cover instead.

I was working on the theme from Cannibal Holocaust, but gave up on it, I might give it another go when the Grindhouse blu is released

The 1st film I ever saw of Lucio's was ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS and I bought it from MUSIC ZONE the SilverStone edition and I really enjoyed it as it wasn't what I was expecting.

The 2nd film I saw of his was CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD and it was hell on trying to get the Vipco copy. It's a long story.

ZFE holds a special place in my heart for many reasons; it was my first Video Nasty, my first Italian horror film and my first Fulci film, hence the reason why I chose Fabio Frizzi's awesome theme for my 10000th post project.

Might have a go at COTLD too, they are quite similar, so it shouldn't be too hard

Seeing as today would've been the Maestro's 88th birthday, I thought I'd share my version of Fabio Frizzi's theme for Zombi 2 (Zombie Flesh Eaters) again, enjoy

Woke up this morning to a message on Facebook from a guy that's doing an audiobook version of Zombie Flesheaters, asking for permission to use my version of the theme. Obviously, I said yes providing I receive a credit for it
