'Wake The Dead' is a good song. It is quiet and calculating, with menacing lyrics and a sly vocal performance. It sounds like there is a drum machine providing the rhythm. The serial killer is on the rampage!

Ozzy Osbourne co-wrote the song, and also appears on it, providing vocals and playing the harmonica

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Danny Saber - Guitars, Keyboards, Bass
Ozzy Osbourne - Vocals. Harmonica
Bernard Fowler, Greg Hampton - Backing Vocals

03/11 - Wake The Dead (Cooper, Osbourne, Saber)

"How many more will cross my path
How many more must die
I never wonder where they come from
I never wonder why
You don't know what's going on inside of me
You don't wanna know what's running through my mind, yeah yeah yeah
(Shake.... Shake...)

You wake up every morning thinking everything's okay
But if by chance you walk my way you just may seal your fate
Give me a redhead, give me a brunette, send a blonde to me
When I unwind I'm colour blind, they're all the same to me
(Shake.... Shake...)

Shake my head, wake the dead
Shake my head, wake the dead
Run for your life, you better run for your life
Run for your life, you gotta run for your life

I just do the things I do, it's natural to me
There's no rhyme or reason for my odd insanity
You don't know what's going on inside of me
You don't wanna know what's going through my mind, yeah yeah yeah

Shake my head, wake the dead
Shake my head, wake the dead
Shake my head, wake the dead
Shake my head, wake the dead
Run for your life you better run for your life
Run for your life you gotta run for your life
(you gotta.... you gotta.... you gotta.... you gotta....
you gotta.... wake up wake up, you gotta.... wake up wake up,
wake up wake up, wake up wake up, wake up wake up,
wake up wake up, wake up wake up, wake up wake up,
wake up wake up)"

'Catch Me If You Can' is a return to classic Alice of olde. The lyrics are not Shakespeare, and the tune may be nothing more than a basic three-minute rock song, but it has a nice pop melody and it's fun to listen to. It fits in well with the concept and it's well-executed (pardon the pun)

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Danny Saber - Guitars, Synth bass
Greg Hampton - Guitars, Backing vocals, Bass, Keyboards
Eric Singer - Drums
Bernard Fowler - Backing Vocals

04/11 - Catch Me If You Can (Cooper, Saber, Hampton)

"She was not the first, and he won't be my last
My hunger and my thirst, My brilliant future and my ugly past
They'll all be here with me, 'till my web is spun
My blessing and my curse, there'll be no rest until my work is done

Catch me, catch me if you can
Catch me, catch me when you can
I can't control myself

You won't have a clue of what is coming next
What I'm gonna do, surely classical in it's effect
Which limb will I choose, which one gets sawed in half
Which leg would you lose to an arachnophobic psychopath

Catch me, catch me if you can
I wrestled with the devil and I'll do it again
Catch me, catch me when you can
I can't control myself
Catch me, catch me if you can
I'm scheming with the demons and I'll do it again
Catch me, catch me when you can
I can't control myself
I can't control myself

Catch me, catch me if you can
Catch me, catch me when you can
Catch me, catch me if you can
I'm scheming with the demons and I'll do it again
Catch me, catch me when you can
I can't control myself
I just can't control myself
I'm scheming with the demons and I'll do it again
I wrestled with the devil and I'd do it again
I'm scheming with the demons and I'll do it again"

The chase is better than the catch! '(In Touch With) Your Feminine Side' has the spider following his victim. It's a good song, with a nice melody and I like the sound of the guitars. The lyrics are creepy and disturbing, suggesting Ted Bundy or Buffalo Bill from 'The Silence Of The Lambs' stalking his victims

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Keri Kelli - Guitar
Jason Hook - Guitar
Danny Saber - Guitars
Chuck Garric - Bass
Eric Singer - Drums
Bernard Fowler, Calico Cooper - Backing vocals

The other credited writer is Damon Johnson, who played guitar with Alice, and is currently with Black Star Riders

05/11 - (In Touch With) Your Feminine Side (Cooper, Garric, Johnson, Kelli)

"You got a taste on your face
You got some scare in your hair
You got some rock in your walk
And some hips in your slip

Stop running
Stop hiding
Just wanna get in touch with your feminine side

You look so cool, you look so sweet
C'mon baby, c'mon over baby
It's your world, but it's my street
C'mon baby, c'mon over baby

You got stars on your scars
You got surprise in your eyes
You put some bite in the night
You got some sin on your skin

Stop running
Stop hiding
Just wanna get in touch with your feminine side

You look so cool, you look so sweet
C'mon baby, c'mon over baby
It's your world, but it's my street
C'mon baby, c'mon over baby

Stop running
Stop hiding
Just wanna get in touch with your feminine, touch with your feminine side

You look so cool, you look so sweet
C'mon baby, c'mon over baby (inside)
It's your world, but it's my street
C'mon baby, c'mon over baby (inside)
You look so cool, you look so sweet
C'mon baby, c'mon over baby (inside)
It's your world, but it's my street
C'mon baby, c'mon over baby (inside)
Woo woo.. woo woo.. woo woo
Woo woo.. woo woo.. woo woo"

'Wrapped In Silk' is another guitar orientated song. It's a good, slow one with a creepy vocal performance from Alice

Oh - arachnophobes should not watch the video!

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Danny Saber - Guitars, Keyboards, Bass
Greg Hampton - Guitars, Backing vocals
Eric Singer - Drums
Steffen Presley - B3 Organ
Bernard Fowler - Backing vocals

06/11 - Wrapped In Silk (Cooper, Saber, Hampton)

"Where did I see those eyes
Why do I feel your heat
How do I know your name
When did we ever meet
Did you just pass me by
When did I smell your scent
I followed you from behind
Everywhere you went

(My, My, My, My, My)

You should be wrapped in silk
You should be bathed in white
You should be wrapped in silk
I'll make that dream come true tonight
Yes tonight
Yes tonight
Yes tonight
Tonight's the night

How did you see my face
Where could you feel the knife
Was it your final thought
The moment I took your life
And just when your heartbeat failed
Were you just filled with fright
Were you in dark despair
Did you see the holy light?

(My, My, My, My, My)

You should be wrapped in silk
You should be bathed in white
You should be wrapped in silk
I'll make that dream come true tonight
Wrapped in silk
Dressed in white
Bathed in milk
I'll make that dream come true tonight
Yes tonight
Yes tonight
Tonight's the night
I'll turn off your lights (turn off your lights)

Where did you get that skin
I've never seen such teeth
It covers up all your sin
I wonder what's underneath

Did you just pass me by
When did I smell your scent
I followed you from behind
Everywhere you went

(My, My, My, My, My)

You should be wrapped in silk
You should be bathed in white
You should be wrapped in silk
I'll make that dream come true tonight
Wrapped in silk
Dressed in white
Bathed in milk
I'll make that dream come true tonight
Yes tonight
Yes tonight
Tonight's the night
I'll turn off your lights (turn off your lights)"

'Killed By Love' is the big acoustic ballad on the album. To my ears, even when the album was first released, it sounded very dated, and not in a good way. It sounds like something The Beatles would have released in the late 60's. Moral of the story is: never trust a serial killer who falls in love with his victim!

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Keri Kelli - Guitars
Danny Saber - Guitars, Piano, Keyboards
Eric Singer - Drums
Chuck Garric- Bass
Bernard Fowler - Backing vocals

The other credited writer is James (Jim) Bacchi, who was the guitarist in a forgotten 1990's band called 'Fuzzbubble'. Their claim to fame is that they had a song on the 'Godzilla' (1998) soundtrack album!

07/11 - Killed By Love (Cooper, Garric, Bacchi, Kelli)

"I've got more to lose, more to lose than you
Cause I'm the only one in love between us two
I know that I've been struck by lightning from above
Cause I've been killed by love

I got a longer fall, a longer fall to take
Cause I'm a bigger fool with a bigger heart to break
You pushed me way to far, a push became a shove
And I was killed by love

Drop me off in a crowded lonely city
Everybody there was crying
Drop me off in a town without pity
And let me be the one that's dying

Killed by love
Killed by love
Killed by love
Oh bye bye love

Ha ha ha ha

Killed by love (killed by love)
Killed by love (killed by love)
Killed by love (killed by love)
Oh bye bye love (oh bye bye)

Killed by love oh yeah
Killed by love, I'm thinking fast baby
Killed by love, you know you're killing me baby
Baby, baby
Oh bye bye love"

The electric guitars are back for 'I'm Hungry', but the verse melody is nothing more than a rehash of 'Is It My Body' from the 'Love It To Death' album, released over 35 years earlier! Its not a bad song - it's just bland and (similarities aside) unmemorable

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Danny Saber - Guitars, Keyboards, Bass
David Pinbauer - Drums
Whitey Kirst - Additional lead guitar
Greg Hampton - Background vocals, Additional guitar
Bernard Fowler - Backing vocals

08/11 - I'm Hungry (Cooper, Saber, Hampton)

"I got a head full of faces, a heart full of pain
I got some bad ideas feedin' my brain
I got a night full of promise, a city full of prey
Looks like everything is going my way

I got an eye for the beauties and a mouth full of charm
I gotta tongue dripping poison tattooed on my arm

Gimme gimme gimme gimme something to eat
Gimme gimme gimme gimme something so sweet
Gimme gimme gimme gimme something to chew
Something soft and tender... how 'bout you?

I'm hungry
I'm hungry
Yeah I'm hungry
Oh I'm hungry

I got a smile for the lady that goes on my face
I got a kiss on my lips that leads to my place
I got a bed in my basement fit for two
I got some chloroform and handcuffs just for you

Woo
Woo
Woo
Woo

I'm hungry
I'm hungry
Yeah I'm hungry
Oh I'm hungry

Gimme gimme gimme gimme something to eat
Gimme gimme gimme gimme something so sweet
Gimme gimme gimme gimme something to chew
Something soft and tender... how 'bout you?

I'm hungry
I'm hungry
Yeah I'm hungry
Oh I'm hungry

Woo Woo woo
woo woo woo
Woo woo woo
woo woo woo"

That's right, he does

James Randi, or The Amazing Randi, was born in 1928. He is a magician who has used his skills and knowledge to 'debunk the claims of the paranormal community and exposing the tricks that charlatans use'

His connection to Alice began in the early 70's, when he was hired by the ACG to design the special effects that were to be used on tour. He accompanied the band on the tours to promote the 'Billion Dollar Babies' album and also the 'Muscle Of Love' album, where he appeared on stage, playing the mad dentist during 'Unfinished Sweet' and the executioner during 'I Love the Dead'

'The One That Got Away' opens with the spoken lines 'You look like you'd fit in the trunk of my car', which brings back memories of 'Millie And Billie' from the 'From The Inside' album. There is also a spoken interlude in the middle of the song, which is based on the M.O used by Ted Bundy. Musically, however, it's an average pop-metal song

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Keri Kelli - Guitars
Chuck Garric - Bass
Eric Singer - Drums
Greg Hampton - Keyboards, Additional guitar
Calico Cooper - Spoken Word vocal
Bernard Fowler - Backing vocals

The other credited writer is Jani Lane, who was the vocalist in the band Warrant

09/11 - The One That Got Away (Cooper, Kelli, Lane)

"You look like you'd fit in the trunk of my car
I might let you live, I might go too far
I could wrap you up and take ya home
We'd be all alone

Oh should I let you be the one that got away
Knew it would happen but I didn't know it'd be today
All the voices in my head always sing insane
The one that got away, away, away, today

Keep it down don't talk, I have to think
I could let you walk, I could feed the sink
I could grind you up and disappear
like you were never here

Should I let you be the one that got away
Knew it would happen but I didn't know it'd be today
All the voices in my head always scream insane
The one that got away

Voiceover:
Spider: "Hi, I was just wondering if you could help me out. Um.. my hands are full could you just help me open the door to my van?"
Victim: "oh I'm sorry, you see I just broke my nail and I can't even hold my keys.. I ... gotta go.. dumb psycho"
Spider: "Hmm... must be your lucky day"

I should of let you be the one that got away
Knew it would happen but I didn't know it'd be today
All the voices in my head scream insane
The one that got away
You're the one that got away
Ah you're the one that got away
The one that got away (away, away, away, away, away)
The one that got away (away, away, away, away, away)
The one that got away (away, away, away, away, away)

Voiceover:
Spider: "Hmm, maybe some other time""

'Salvation' is a power-ballad, with the main instrument being a piano. The song reminds me of something from the back catalogue, but I'm damned if I can place it! Musically...yeah, it's fun!

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Danny Saber - Guitars, String Arrangement, Bass, Keyboards
Bernard Fowler - Backing vocals
David Pinbauer - Drums

The additional credited writer of the song is Bernard Fowler, who has worked extensively with The Rolling Stones

10/11 - Salvation (Cooper, Saber, Hampton, Fowler)

"What if I'm wrong,
I've been deceived all along
What if I'm wrong

What have I done
Did I waste a life just for fun
What have I done

What did I do
I did what voices told me to
What did I do

Where will I go
Will I sink through fire down below
Where will I go

Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation for eternity
Any chance of salvation
Someone died for me
Washed in blood he cared enough to pity me

Why do I care
What's wrong with me, my hate is gone
Why do I care

When did I change
What's different now, it's very strange
When did I change

Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation for eternity
Any chance of salvation
Someone died for me
Washed in blood he cared enough to pity me

In my heart
In my soul
Something's new, that's very old
Like a pain that's finally gone
I feel my heavy burden lifted

Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation

Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation for eternity
Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation for eternity
Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation for eternity
Sal-va-tion
Sal-va-tion
Sal-va-tion
Sal-va-tion"

The closing song on the original release is 'I Am the Spider/Epilogue' which is one of the more compelling songs on the album. It has a cinematic flare to it, sounding like something that would be played over the end credits of a big budget Hollywood blockbuster. The overall tone of the song is dark and menacing. That pulsating guitar at the beginning of the track sets the mood. Alice's growl-singing vocal performance is fun, as he tells us that nobody knows who this serial killer is, and he could be anywhere!

The album closes with a spoken monologue, which brings back the character of Steven, who was last featured on the 'Last Temptation' album in 1994. However, it is stated that "We've been in this cell for 28 years Steven" which suggests that Steven has been imprisoned since 1980, which (in album terms) is between 'From The Inside' and 'Flush The Fashion'. That means that his appearances in 'Dada', 'Hey Stoopid' and 'The Last Temptation', were being told from inside his cell!

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Danny Saber, Greg Hampton - Guitars, Keyboards, Backing vocals, String Arrangements
Eric Singer - Drums
Bernard Fower - Backing vocals

11/11 - I Am The Spider/Epilogue (Cooper, Cooper, Saber, Hampton)

"I'm your lover
I'm your brother
I'm your killer
I'm your friend
I'm your teacher
I'm your preacher
I'm the reaper in the end

I'm your healer
I'm your dealer
I'm your angel, lets pretend
I'm your jailer
I'm your failure
I'm the reaper in the end

Along came a spider
Crept up beside her
Spun his web deep inside her
My darkness will guide her

I am the spider
I am the spider
I am the spider
I am the spider

You're my sinner
You're my dinner
My little puppet, let's pretend
You're the cure to my affliction
My addiction till end

Along came a spider
Crept up beside her
Spun his web deep inside her
My darkness will guide her

I am the spider
I am the spider
I am the spider
I am the spider

I was born to this
Not something to strive for
Not something to even admire
Unless of course it's done with the greatest of taste
Conviction and expertise
I am the spider

Along came a spider
Crept up beside her
Spun his web deep inside her
My darkness will guide her

I am the spider
I am the spider
I am the spider
I am the spider

------------

Epilogue: Spider - "Well, they found my diary today. They were appropriately appalled at the discovery of the eight victims. They're now putting it all together. Women wrapped in silk with one leg missing. Eight legs, one body, silk, spider, brilliant!"
"We've been in this cell for 28 years Steven. We couldn't have done all those horrible things. Yes, I know. I know what you always say. You trap, you kill, you eat. That's what a good spider does. You trap, you kill, you eat. You trap, you kill, you eat.""

When the album was re-released in 2010, it contained three additional songs that were originally iTunes-only bonus tracks, released alongside the original album

This is where things start to get confusing and disjointed!

With the 'The Psycho-Drama Tour'' finishing on July 12nd, 2009, you would think that Alice would take time off to recharge his batteries, but no! Less than 3 weeks later, starting on July 31st, 2009, Alice was back on the road with a whole new set and production

'The Theatre Of Death Tour' is without doubt the greatest melding of theatre and music ever. The show tells a story, featuring a trip through the mind of a sociopath.

Right from the start, the audience was caught on their back foot. Opening with 'School's Out', which is usually the end of the set. An execution within the first 20 minutes of the set? This show was going to be something special and off the wall...and it was

The band was the same band for the previous tour:

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Guitars, Vocals - Keri Kelli
Guitars, vocals - Jason Hook
Bass - Chuck Garric
Drums - Eric Singer
Actress - Depending on the leg of the tour, this was either Calico Cooper or Tiffany Lowe

The basic setlist for this tour consisted of:
  • School's Out
  • Department Of Youth
  • I'm Eighteen
  • Wicked Young Man
  • Ballad Of Dwight Fry
  • Go To Hell
  • Guilty
  • Welcome To My Nightmare
  • Cold Ethyl
  • Poison
  • The Awakening
  • From The Inside
  • Nurse Rozetta
  • Is It My Body
  • Be My Lover
  • Only Women Bleed / I Never Cry
  • Black Widow (instrumental)
  • Vengeance Is Mine
  • Devil's Food
  • Dirty Diamonds
  • Billion Dollar Babies
  • Killer
  • I Love The Dead
  • No More Mr Nice Guy
  • Under My Wheels
  • School's Out

Like many tours that Alice was doing, this was split into a number of legs. The first leg, started in America on 31st July, 2009 and continued until August 13th. The tour then went to Australasia between August 18th and September 4th. Back to America between 17th September and 31st October. Europe dates were played between 18th November and 15th December. UK dates were played between 24th November and 6th December, and visited Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Swindon, Wolverhampton, Plymouth, Nottingham, Brighton and London (Hammersmith). Support for these dates came from Man-Raze, a group consisting of Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Simon Laffy (Girl) and Paul Cook (The Sex Pistols)

A concert on December 11th in Finland was cancelled by the venue for, ironically, religious reasons 'We don't arrange concerts where Satanism or non-god-worshipping occurs' Harry Wiherkoski, the venue's president/CEO is quoted to have said!

There were a few changes for the second leg of the tour. Although it was still the 'Theatre Of Death' show, this leg was a double headliner with Rob Zombie, and it went under the title 'The Gruesome Twosome Tour'. These shows, which ran between April 26th 2010 and May 22nd were in North America and Canada. It was agreed that Alice would go on first, with Zombie closing the show. Both acts would play for 75 minutes

The setlist for this leg was:
  • School's Out
  • No More Mr Nice Guy
  • Eighteen
  • Wicked Young Man
  • Ballad of Dwight Fry
  • Go To Hell
  • Guilty
  • Cold Ethyl
  • Poison
  • From The Inside
  • Nurse Rozetta
  • Be My Lover
  • Only Women Bleed
  • I Never Cry
  • The Black Widow (Instrumental)
  • Vengeance Is Mine
  • Dirty Diamonds
  • Billion Dollar Babies
  • Killer
  • I Love The Dead (excerpt)
  • Feed My Frankenstein
  • Under My Wheels
  • Elected
  • School's Out

The third leg of the tour, which was back to Alice headlining with The Theatre Of Death, started in Europe for 5 dates between June 19th, 2010 and June 26th. North America and Canada dates were played between 9th July and 25th July before Alice returned to Europe, starting in England to headline the opening night of the Sonisphere Festival on July 30th before moving to the continent between 1st August and 14th August and then back to North America for shows between 28th August and 5th September.

The fourth Leg was the 'Halloween Hootenanny Tour', again with Rob Zombie, which toured America between 30th September 2010 and October 24th.

The setlist has been changed, and now ran:
  • School's Out
  • No More Mr Nice Guy
  • Eighteen
  • Wicked Young Man
  • Ballad of Dwight Fry
  • Go To Hell
  • Cold Ethyl
  • Poison
  • From The Inside
  • Nurse Rozetta
  • Be My Lover
  • Only Women Bleed
  • I Never Cry
  • The Black Widow (Instrumental)
  • Vengeance Is Mine
  • Dirty Diamonds
  • Billion Dollar Babies
  • Killer
  • I Love The Dead (excerpt)
  • Feed My Frankenstein
  • Under My Wheels
  • Elected

Alice then returned to England for two 'Nights Of Fear' shows at the London Roundhouse on October 31st and November 1st, before finishing the Theatre Of Death tour in Europe between 4th November and November 27th 2010

There was a DVD release of 'The Theatre Of Death', which was recorded at the Hammersmith Apollo on 6th December, 2009. It is an incredible show, and well worth getting

On March 14, 2011, the Alice Cooper Group was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (alongside Neil Diamond, blues pianist Dr. John, Darlene Love and Tom Waits). The same day it was announced that there was to be a limited edition (5000 copies) career retrospective of the band entitled 'Old School 1964 - 1974', containing unreleased demos, rehearsal recordings, radio appearances, pre-production versions and live songs, that were recorded during the period 1964 - 1974. This was to be released in June 2011

[It should be noted that there is nothing from the 'Billion Dollar Babies' album included. Presumably this was because that album had already enjoyed an extended and remastered release, containing a full additional album of live cuts]

Anyway, the box is a stunning work of art - an almost lifesize school desk made from hard card with real metal hinges to open the top of the desk. Inside were two layers. The first holding the CD's and DVD kind of like a pen tray, which when removed reveals the book and other goodies. The boxes are numbered on the back and the whole box is covered by doodles and the bands initials and messages. It really has to be seen to be appreciated, as photos just don't do it justice

The full set contained 2 CD's of rarities; 1 interview CD; 1 live CD recorded on the 1971 'Killer' tour; 1 vinyl version of the live CD; 1 7" single (containing 'Wonder Who's Loving Her Now'/'Lay Down And Die, Goodbye'); 1 interview DVD; 1 60 page, full colour hardback book; Reproduction of the 'Killer' Tour program; Setlist and 5 Color prints

At a shade under £200, however, the release was out of reach of most fans, but it truly was a thing of beauty. Of course it sold out, and a stripped down version was released on October 29th, 2011 at a much more purse friendly price. This contained just the 4 CD's

So, that's the packaging and the contents, but what is the music actually like? Well, if I am being honest, this is a collection for die-hard fans only. Because they were a garage punk band, and some of the recordings are over 50 years old, a lot of the songs sound very rough and ropey, and not in a good way. The first two discs are ones that I dip into occasionally, picking out my favourite songs. The interview disc, I think I have only listened to half of it. The jewel in the crown, of course, is the live disc, which shows what the band sounded like when they were at their peak

Like the first couple of ACG 'proper' releases, this set is a mixture of oddities and curios with an occasional diamond hidden amongst the songs

If you HAVE to own everything that the band has recorded, then you should get it. If not, find someone who has it, and ask them to burn you a copy!

In 2011, Alice released the long awaited follow up to his debut solo album. 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' was another concept album, featuring another nightmare, but this was 'worse than the original one'. The original intention was to record a sequel to 'Along Came A Spider'.

Like previous albums, there was no permanent band for the recording. Each song consists of session musicians and some very special guests

Although he was credited as "executive producer" on 'Brutal Planet' and 'Dragontown', for the first time since the 'Dada' album, Bob Ezrin returned as full producer

The first song on the album is 'I Was Made Of You', which on original release angered a lot of fans due to the use of autotune on Alice's voice. It makes him sound modern/dated, while it should be gothic. Setting the scene, however, the song starts with a keyboard riff that sounds like it was taken from the song 'Steven' from the original nightmare

Alice has compared this song to 'Hello, Hooray', from his 1973 album Billion Dollar Babies, describing it as both a 'masterpiece' and an 'epic song'. The guitar solo is played by Steve Hunter, who appeared on the original 'Welcome to my Nightmare' album

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Bob Ezrin, Jeremy Rubolino - Orchestration
Steve Hunter - Guitar
Tommy Henriksen - Guitar, Keyboard, Programming
Tommy Denander - Guitar
Bass - Jimmie Lee Sloas
Scott Wilianson - Drums

01/14 - I Am Made Of You (Cooper, Ezrin, Child)

"In the beginning I was just a shadow
In the beginning I was alone
In the beginning I was blind
Living in a world devoid of light
In the beginning there was only night

I was shattered, left in pieces And I felt so cold inside
Then I called you from the darkness where I hide

I am made of you
I am made of you
I am made of you
I am made of you

In the beginning you were revelation
A river of salvation and now I believe
All I wanted, all I needed was someone to rescue me
I was drowning, I was dying, now I'm free

I am made of you
I am made of you
I am made of you
I am made of you

Here I am now, I can stand now coz your love has made me strong
And forever you're the singer, I'm the song

I am made of you
I am made of you
I am made of you
I am made of you

I am made of you
I am made of you
I am made of you
I am made of you"

The following song, 'Caffeine', is a good catchy, hard rocking song. What is strange about this one is the fact that Alice seems to be promoting drug. This is something that he has never done on record before

It's one of the few songs from the album that has been played live

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Tommy Henriksen - Bass, Keyboards, Percussion
Keith Nelson - Guitar
Steve Hunter - Guitar
Scott Williamson - Drums
Bob Ezrin - Keyboards
Kip Winger - Backing Vocals

The credited writer (and guitar player) is Keith Nelson, who played with the band Buckcherry

02/14 - Caffeine (Cooper, Ezrin, Nelson, Henriksen)

"I gotta stay awake
I just can`t sleep
Because I know inside if I close my eyes
it will be the death of me

Because I fear the night
When the darkness creeps
That`s when the shadows thrive
that's when I must survive
'cause every night they come for me

I'm shaking in the ice cold shower
I been for here for about a week
But if I leave I could doze for hours
and that will surely be the end of a coward like me

Caffeine! Caffeine!
Amphetamine
A little speed is all I need
Caffeine! Caffeine!
woo woo woo

I won't sleep at night
I won't rest my head
Because I realise if I shut my eyes I'm gonna wake up dead
I'm in a desperate way
I'm very near the end
And all I know's a triple shot of joe is my only friend

I'm shaking in the ice cold shower
I been for here for about a week
But if I leave I could doze for hours
and that will surely be the end of a coward like me

Caffeine! Caffeine!
Amphetamine
A little speed is all I need
Caffeine! Caffeine!
woo woo woo
woo woo woo

Caffeine! Caffeine!
Amphetamine
A little speed is all I need
Caffeine! Caffeine!

Caffeine! Caffeine!
Amphetamine
A little speed is all I need
Caffeine! Caffeine!

Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme etc
Ohhhhh....."
