From the sound of Calum's Twitter Blood Harvest possibly isn't coming, it's stuck in a legal mire from days of VHS.

i know sometimes it can't be help but 88 should not announce titles until they are 150% certain.

Never heard of blood harvest but found a post from 2009 maybe they should have checked out the rights problem.

Rights disputes have long kept a definitive edition of this 80's schlock classic out of our hands. The only DVD releases have been a Retromedia disc (OOP for years) and one in Brentwood's "Psychotic Tendencies" DVD pack.

We 150% were just as Arrow were 150% certain when they picked up the rights too. Now we have two sides claiming ownership. So you have two options 1) Release the film and let the claiment take the damage if indeed their claim to the copyright is correct or 2) Stay the hell out of it because it is a legal mess waiting to happen. And 88 cannot afford to slog this out.

So does the second party spring out of the woodwork so to speak when the original rights have been sold to Arrow or 88 or whomever and basically say you can't release it as we hold the rights, not person x?

My mistake then, I really cant understand why who ever has the rights decide to wait until the last minute to throw a spanner in the works, comes of little petty , I would of suspect crazy banana bill if it had not had problems since VHS days.

Arrow had bought the rights from one party and 88 bought the rights from another party. Who owns the thing? At this point we have no idea - best just to get out of this mess.

Well the titles coming one way another, could Blood Harvest be a standalone release for Arrow or part of the American Horror Project 2 when it finally emerges?

Better announce something else brand new soon Calum or formally announce Cat in the Brain. Oh persuade Richard and James to give us an update on the already announced Mercenary and Navaho Joe...

Default blood harvest

as much as I love Tiny Tim's first album, arrow and 88 would be wise to wash their hands of this film not only because of legal issues but because it's a pretty crap film.
