I can't post the link but there's a video on YouTube called "What The Hell is HELLRISER?" if anyone wants to know more.

Here it is.

I watched this a couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Steve Lawson summarised it much better than I can, but it's a detective movie meets The Exorcist III with a giallo feel to some scenes and others with more of a satanic exorcism aspect, which is generally great fun.

I really enjoyed Lawson's commentary on The Haunting of Annie Dyer, so will probably listen to the commentary on this disc later tonight.

Thanks for the positive comments - I think you've summed it up perfectly! You'll enjoy the commentary, it gives away all the behind the scenes secrets.

I'm watching Hellriser with the commentary right now and, as I suspected, it is as enjoyable and informative as the one on The Haunting of Annie Dyer DVD. If you are interested in how films are made by or are an aspiring filmmaker, Steve Lawson has a lot to tell you!

Just watch it as a fun tongue in cheek homage to 1970s and '80s cinema, from Suspiria to Lifeforce, not a serious horror movie, and you should get more enjoyment from it than if you're expecting the second coming of The Exorcist.

Sounds right up my street, I do like films that are tongue in cheek if done right .
