I can't imagine using any other image for the reverse. Its the classic poster that most know. I am willing to bet that probably even over there more people will recognize the eye poster than the more obscure UK one.

For me, when there is one alternative choice, go with the most iconic.

That I strongly doubt in this particular case. I don't even like the film and I know the UK poster without even having to think about it.

Guess its where I am from then. I have honestly never seen it. And any copy of Lifeforce I've ever seem had the eye artwork. Not saying you are not right just giving my perspective on it.

Yeah, until the dvd was released, I had never seen the eye poster. Give me breasts over an eye anyday.

So....they won't put out a cover with nudity on it, but are happy to provide a film that's full of full frontal nudity..? People unfamiliar with the film will see the artwork, think it's a kind of classic sci-fi film....then get confronted by a fully naked Mathilda May. That will certainly raise some eyebrows.

As for the 'higher ups' not being keen on Ms. 45, the same thing happened with Disney/Buena Vista with Fulci's The Beyond, which is why it was farmed out to Anchor Bay to release on their behalf along with Grindhouse Releasing. So this is nothing new.

Yeah, I have seen that poster ever since I got the US DVD back in 98, and always though it was some weird spaceship
