Great times ahead? Tennant and Piper? What a complete let down. Doctor Who and it's fans are the worst. They always speculate and build things up and every single time it's a disappointment.

I really hope there are more involved. Surely I can't be the only one who wants to see Paul McGann make some kind of appearance? Or perhaps I am.

What did people think then? I thought it was an enjoyable enough romp.

I really enjoyed tonights opener. Although, I was expecting to see Ethan Hunt half way up the side of the building as The Doctor rode up it on his motorcycle!

I would love to see more of Paul McGann, more than any of the others.

Have you listened to any of his work for Big Finish?

He owns the role, absolutely terrific as the Doctor.

If you can indulge me.

I would love Matt Smith to sit down at the beginning of the next series with a fine single malt and tell the story of the time war. Having McGann as the Doctor for the full series.

Smith could then do other things for a year or so, without relinquishing the role and we'd all get to see the eighth Doctor for a year.

Any way, that ain't going to happen so back to reality.

If we could only have one previous Doctor I would choose Mcgann so hopefully this will still happen

I think him not being in the anniversary would cause the single biggest upset among fans as he should have been odds on favorite to return

I also liked the idea mentioned above of a Time War series with him starring however I fear the BBC would rather invest the money in talent(less) shows these days.

I think that Time War idea is a great one. As much as I would love it to happen, I could see people wanting more of McGann, and moaning when it went back to just Matt Smith.
