Rumour hath it (seemingly confirmed by the opening scene not being shown to the press) that the 2 part finale opens with the regeneration, though the new actor is not seen, but that Capaldi regenerates at the end of the season into the new actor (who will nonetheless not get a line until the close of the Xmas special). Expect the new Doctor to be announced in the next week if true! |

I did quite like Anthony Ainley as the Master, although I thought his character became a little bit of a pantomime villain towards the end. Roger Delgado, however, was magnificent. Downright evil, cunning and funny too. In fact, for me his performance just gets better every time I watch him. I'm hoping John Simm is better this time round. I hated his ( RTD's? ) take on the character on his original appearance. |
