The BBC have confirmed that the world premiere of Matt Smith's final adventure starring as the Doctor, The Time of the Doctor, will be broadcast on BBC One at 7:30pm on Christmas Day. This is good news. The main prime time slot. The BBC clearly have renewed confidence in the show after The Day of the Doctor became the second most watched piece of tv of the year. Edit - its up against Coronation Street for the full hour.... feels like the 80's again.  |

If your'e gonna count K-9 then you might as well include the offshoots made when Dr who was off air like Shakedown featuring Sontarans and Rutans. (i think that's right) and Downtime etc. i only own shakedown which features Sophie Aldred (Ace) but i think these are more relevant to dr who than the K-9 series. (but that's just my opinion)  |

| Dr Who Series question (Help)
Hi All, I have been researching this and can't get the answer im looking for so as always when i can't find the answer i bring it to you folks. i fancy watching the original series of DR Who, now i like Tom Baker and would prefer to watch his original series however if someone has the time i wouldn't mind the complete series answer. haha. so here goes with the question. I understand the Dr Who original series can be found in episodes on DVD however they only seem to be a few episodes long... so im unsure what dvds i need to buy to complete a series. they don't appear to tell me on the box and when i do see the dvds they tend to spread over a few popular titles rather than a series. so can anyone identify (with title if possible) what dvds i need to buy to get a running series? the tom baker stuff would be great if the whole set is to big to do. Many thanks in advance if anyone can help.
