ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451762358.300476.jpg

A new superhero anime about Saitama called (one punch man because he can defeat enemies with only one punch ) and the adventures he gets into with the other heroes he meets along the way. On,y watched a few episodes but really enjoying it, well animated with likeable characters, humour and gore. Well worth seeking out for fans of anime and superheroes

I have just started the first series of FLASH. It is refreshing to have a hero with a tragic back story being so balanced and positive in outlook. It is almost subversive in the post The Dark Knight world!

I was told i should watch it in tandem with series 3 of Arrow as they interlink.

That is my plan now that I have watched the first couple of episodes that actually link into series 2 of Arrow but not into the overall story arc of either show or Flash and Arrow working together.

Just watched the first episode of War and Peace on BBC1. Not bad, nice and lavish. I'll definitely watch episode 2 next week.

Earlier i watched an hour of adverts with snatches of what might have been Beowulf: Return To The Shield Lands over on ITV. I think the dvd (in a sale) beckons for this one.

That's good to hear as the book is incredibly detailed and I have set my V+ box to record the series, which I'll probably watch in a marathon sitting.

At six hours it's almost double the length of the 1958 film. I'm looking forward to episode 2. If it continues in the same vein it'll be one to buy as well. It has extremely high production values.

There was a 1966 Russian version that ran for over 7 hours

Ash Vs Evil Dead

What a show absolutely hilarious great acting and over the top blood and guts. This could very easily been just a cash in and a total disaster but they really worked at this one to keep it fresh yet not loosing anything that made the Evil Dead so great. Bruce Campbell is on top form and i am left laughing everytime he opens his mouth. The soundtrack is fantastic also i cant wait for a Blu Ray release and season 2. The only flaw is the episodes are way too short.
