The 80s might not have fashion going for it but looking at this poll and making a list brings one thing to mind, it was a great decade for horror, in fact I'd rate all on the 100 so far, as an oldie I saw most at the cinema so great times, roll on the 70s poll, and well done to jiraffejustin, good job.

I don't know about that, but I could personally see to it being uploaded to a site like youtube if necessary.

Thanks! I enjoy these lists maybe more than anybody else. Thanks to everybody that voted. I would love to run as many of these lists as you guys wanna do. If there's any interest in another list after the 70s, I'll run that one as well. After the 70s, would you guys want to do another decade of horror, or would you guys want to do a genre/sub-genre list? I was thinking slasher or zombie maybe. Obviously that would be a little down the road, but I'm always thinking about which one we could do next, I think these lists work as an excellent tool for people who might not have seen as much. I know it has given me a longer watchlist.

COUNTDOWN COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for voting everybody, the list turned out pretty good. The Evil Dead barely made it in the top ten, so that makes me happy. At least it didn't make top 5 like I was expecting. Number 1 became a foregone conclusion about 5 lists in, it was on almost all the ballots. Without checking, I think it was only left off of one list.

I'll start the 70s preliminary thread tomorrow, I need some rest.

Great job with the list and on pooling all the ballots together, justin

Plus, what an interesting list it is too.

Take a well earned rest, and we (well, at least I!) look forward to the '70s list. Hopefully more people will join in next time too

This was really cool. So when do we start on the 70's?

Great work, JJ - really good.

A fantastic commitment Justin, well done. Fascinating stuff.

....................

I was surprised about the lack of votes some films received. Eyes of a Stranger for one.

I completely forgot about The Serpent and The Rainbow and The Unnameable. Both would have gotten top 30 places from me.

Wasn't really bothered enough to join this, grew up with many a night "wasted" watching anything we could get our hands on due to the novelty of the VHS boom. Hmmm. That doesn't sound like me haha.

AAnyway...can I join in for the 70s one?? Whats the deal, just knock together a list and send it to you, JJ??
