I remember all of these Reaps. The muffled voice at the beginning of IMPOSSIBLE MISSION is emblazoned in my mind ... 'another visitor, stay a while .... stay forever!!' IK+ and CREATURES were great on C64 as well.

The C64 was certainly in a class of it's own in those days.

Yeah, very true. Was an AMSTRAD CPC 464 player back in those days... Those old cassette loading games. DIZZY, and SEYMOUR AT THE MOVIES spring to mind. Really good fun in their day.

I Picked up a Sega Megadrive II with 2 controllers and in its original box for a tenner at a junk market today. I was never allowed one when I was younger so I only got to play on others. Its got Sonic 2 built in a a 3 game cartridge with Shinobi, Streets of Rage and Golden Axe. Awsome...

Or so it would seem. The only problem is that I only have a tv arial for the console and my projector doesnt have that inpit. So it means I'm gonna have to wait for a few days, until the cable i've ordered of ebay comes, till I can test it out (it powers up which is a good sign). Bogus...

Also I have been looking at games on ebay. All of the good games Street Fighter II, Micro Machines II (with the extra 2 ports in the cartridge) etc are almost as much as I paid for the console, which is a bit annoying.

Still though, I cant wait to plug it in a re-live my youth!!!

Nice one Bio.

I think i'll try pick up an Atari Jag with a spare Pad and few games for it .
I've been thinking about it for a while and even tried twice on EBay were I was the winning bid but the sellers refused to sell, even though I said i'd meet their asking price , turned out both sellers were the same guy but I dont know why he wouldn't sell.
Seeing your set looking cool as f**k in that pic has got me fired up to buy back a piece of my youth.

I'm really glad I found the actual console for cheap. I know it's possible to play stuff on a pc using emulators and stuff, but it's not the same as having the original with the proper pads. Also there are is a new version of the Mega Drive out which according to the reviews I've read doesnt play half of the games.

Hope you have some luck searching out an Atari Jag.
