It tends to read folk horror as folklore so films about legendary creatures count as much as witches in the woods!

Demon, who do you mean about he mispronounced words? I may have noticed but just shrugged it off it usually bothers me though haha.

Well, some *folk* like it, and and when I saw it, the thought that went through my mind was..."this film is certainly a *horror*"!

I watched Rawhead Rex (Arrow Blu-ray) on Friday night and i thought it had elements of folk horror in it certainly.

The excavation of the stone at the start screamed Stigma and Clive Exton.

Haha, you just mean Americans then lol! It surprises me that people (Americans) struggle pronouncing normal words!

I feel like watching it again but also that 4 times since January is a step too far… haha

Here To Be Heard (2018, William E. Badgeley)

The Slits documentary.
I have to be honest here and say that this band have always been with me, their Man Next Door 7" being one of the few records that I still have from when I started collecting ahem. So watching this was ... interesting.
After finding out that a reprint of the actual scrapbook that the bass player uses to narrate this tale is now available today , I felt I had to revisit this one.
I finally got to see Ari Up with a "version" of The Slits in the mid 2000s, and she did not disappoint ahem.
A great look back into history. Recommended.

The Found Footage Phenomenon

Guess what it's about then
Reasonable history of this much maligned sub genre, if a tad Amerocentric again. Yet again, a large net is cast into these waters.
Take the inclusion of everyone's favourite Belgian serial killer mockumentary Man Bites Dog ahem. My few gripes were that Noroi wasn't mentioned enough (the directors rather lacklustre flick Shirome gets more of a look in , meh)
Worth a look if you are so inclined.

Desperate for a Blu of Man Bites Dog Found footage it is not though, I think the film makers knew full well they were trying it on adding that into the discourse lol.
