"CIIIIIIINEMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

I still remember watching it and at the part where he's chasing the kid (and I was laughing hysterically), my sister walked into the room, took one look at the screen and then left
Happy days ....

I actually watched it in a media studies (yes I know...) class for A-Levels, I think most people were "shocked" and disgusted but I was intrigued and it's stuck with me ever since. I had a VHS, Tartan Video? years and years ago, not seen it for ages.

Yup, my old Tartan dvd is getting a tad worn tbh, an upgrade would be nice certainly ....

Z Channel: A Magnificent Obsession (2022, Xan Cassavetes)

This is worth a look now. Before vhs rental came ... Z Channel. Pay tv before its time tbh. Meet Jerry Harvey. He likes the movies and strives to bring their audience something other than sticky seats and mixed up reels. With a little help from the actual directors themselves in some cases, he brings lost and maltreated flicks into your home (with no ads!) for a nominal fee. A very human story, this man is no superhero etc (but, but aren't they all scum reaally anyhow?? Er, I digress)
Ahem. See this one when you can.

Lawrence Of Belgravia (2011, Paul Kelly)

When I heard they had made a documentary about this chap, I did wonder what it would entail tbh ...
What we get is fascinating .... though I can see others disagreeing.
If you haven't heard Felt or Denim etc, you might just want to nip off and watch the GWAR doc as I'm sure that will be more fun.
We witness an artist very much in the moment carving his own rather unique path as always.
Was worth the wait.

Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted (Benjamin Field)

Having learned a tad more than I wanted about the man behind the puppets, I will say that this was worth the look, but be aware that its focus is more on the personal than technical ahem.

I've watched both and I did like GWAR better haha, this one was good though, although bloody hell what a grumpy old(ish) man haha. "I don't do that internet stuff"

Straight To VHS (2021, Emilio Silva Torres)

The story of a cult film and its director. More of a detective tale than I expected due to the source material (Uruguayan SOV anyone?).
Did it make me want to see the film?
On reflection, probably
One of those "rabbit holes" I keep hearing about. I can pick them ahem.
