Nah he's a free man again according to the Swiss courts. He did edit previous film The Ghost under house arrest though...

I really enjoyed Carnage too. Loved the claustrophobia of it, and the projectile vomit was a real show stopper . . .

Excellent reviews as ever Daemonia, always a pleasure to read. Quick question regarding this:

The Blu-ray looks terrific and really does the film justice - the UK release is fully uncut too.
When did Fight Club have issues in terms of being cut? Was the UK DVD cut at all?

when first released on dvd FC was cut by 4s and 3 cuts of substitutions were made
although not a fan of the film, the cuts were stupid in the first place

Ed Norton sucking on Malt Loafs manboobs was deemed too weird for UK viewers

In the scene where the gangster beats up Brad Pitt, an overhead shot as Pitt receives a punch to the face is completely missing,
In the scene where Edward Norton beats Jared Leto's face to a pulp, the third punch in the first load of hits has been cut and several hits as his face becomes bloodied during the last load of hits have been removed in two cuts

Thanks for that info James.

Wow, what a misguided view. Seems so odd that they took objection to those 2 moments of violence. I guess this was in 1999 just before they seemed to revise their policy and became a lot more lenient and balanced. I'm not saying they're perfect now and I certainly disagree with the idea of them judging what adult can and cannot watch but they have come a long way in the last 13 years

Watched French Sex Murders and 2020 Texas Gladiators last night, and had a Hanzo the Razor marathon of all three films the night before. I was particularly enthused with how fun a romp D'Amato's post-apocalyptic romp was....enjoyable stuff!

Seeing as Netflix was behaving last night(or rather Sky Broadband), I finally got to finish watching the unbelievably OTT Tokyo Gore Police, what a fantastic, weird, crazy, gory, funny film this is, highly recommended if you like this type of thing
