I've never seen it, either. I keep meaning to.

Aside from the visuals and sound, it has an excellent atmosphere, that lulled me into a weird state of mind not dissimilar to going to sleep with a head cold:fuzzy and warm, slightly annoying but overall a pleasurable feeling. The ending is so psychedelic it was like a sharp kick in the bollocks and took me totally by surprise. I watched it on Blu-ray which looks and sounds amazing.

I really need to pick this up. I pre-ordered it from Axel, but of course they went bankrupt and I never received it. I've yet to find it for a 'customs friendly' price.

Classic Carpenter for me. ITV4 showing Escape from NY then The Thing. Easy to forget now just how good Carpenter was back in his prime.

Zeder 1983 Italy d: Pupi Avati

Muddled but fascinating zombie conspiracy film quite unlike any of its contemporaries. It's a great idea (like Pet Sematary if it had been written by Nigel Kneale), has a fine atmosphere, and looks exceptional. But it is overly convoluted and could have stood ten or fifteen minutes of tidying up.

On the whole though, great stuff.

Because I like movies and will watch almost anything, (except Bollywood, High School Musicals, Modern Dance orientated movies, Disney cartoons or Disney Tele-movies based on their bloody awful Disney channel shows! I prefer my horror a little more tame! Fulci has nowt on 'Wizards of Wavely Place' ) My theme this week is stuff I haven't seen before. and these I just grabbed off of the shelf or had recorded on the Sky box.
