The Quiet Earth is an incredible sci-fi film and hugely underrated. Bruno Lawrence's performance as Zack Hobson is a insanely good.

Cannibal Holocaust (1980) First time seeing it! Thats the Amazon crossed off my 'to go' list! Seriously though it was an interesting watch, I saw the version with the cruelty and it's one of those films that make me feel a little uncomfortable which is why I chose this version. To me film and cinema are best when it elicits emotions whether its laughter or disgust!

All art is supposed to elicit emotions but film is the one that does it for me. I will never forget walking out of the cinema after watching "The Elephant Man," with a sizeable lump in my throat and watering eyes to see a man, ten years older than myself, sobbing uncontrollably. It was a revelation, to me, of the power of the cinematic medium because, before that incident, I had only seen film as excitement and escapism.

Having said all that I still prefer the thrill ride to the box of tissues (for the tears, perverts), the skull splitting to the soul searching.

Some mighty fine John Wayne films there Sawyer.

I really like Reap the Wild Wind, not so Hellfighters though.

I've not seen Pittsburgh or The Lady from Louisiana.

Don't forget the lovely Jane Merrow in a bikini.

Contraband
Strip Nude For Your Killer
Redemption (new Statham, meh)
The Dead One (just to make sure, yes, turgid slop)
Fascination (Il stick with The Iron Rose....)
Black Magic Rites (Renato Polselli)

And what I thought.....

genius, Fulci's 1980 Gangster epic....Testi gets testy hahahaha.
average thriller
not as fun as Dont look In The Basement
Lahaie looks lovely though....
promising start, dwindled to mush (or was it the merlot??)
