Don't think I've heard of that one before, but then again I'm not a fan of prison dramas, so that'll be why

Is it true that Will Smith was mooted to play Django originally ? That would have something really different but Jamie Fox for me was the right choice. I actually like Will Smith, but I'd wish he make more stuff like Ali, still his finest film by a country mile...

Yeah, he turned it down because he felt the character was overshadowed by both Waltz and DiCaprio in the script.

Ah, the ego of the Hollywood star. How did After Earth work out for you Will?

And don't forget Samuel L Jackson

Seriously, Jamie Foxx was the most forgettable part of the movie, seriously overwhelmed by Waltz, DiCaprip and Jackson, so I'd say it was a good move

I could see that, but I thought it was a great ensemble piece...

Madman

Better than I was expecting ok it's just another rip off of Friday the 13th, but I ended up enjoying this found to be atmosphic and had some good kills, but I'm sure I've seen the camp which the victims where staying in another slasher. 8/10

Inseminoid

Ok it "borrows" from a lot of other films most noteabley alien and Rosemary's baby, but I enjoyed and will revisit it from time to time 7.5/10

Now watching the monster can't remembered much about this years since I've seen it, know its got a bad rep and supposed to be awful.

Edit
Just finished the monster yes it is awful never laughed so much and the end when the baby is exorcised had me in stitches!!

Evil Of Frankenstein

Not one of Hammer's more well loved titles, I have a soft spot for this one. A bit like The Mummy's Shroud ( which I really like ) it's pretty much a by the numbers monster on the loose, with not too much else going on. Lovely new UK Blu-ray showing off the very colourful visuals.

Tropic Of Cancer

Entertaining voodoo - themed giallo. Another gorgeous print from Camera Obscura. They don't release many titles but when they do, they're always quality.

Deep Freeze (2003)

Enjoyed this so-so low budget cheezy B-scifi but the ending could have been a bit better...

Should have been made in the 50's really and borrows a bit from Carpenter's The Thing.

BOY WONDER. Dark vigilante film with a heavy emphasis on the effects of childhood trauma on the psyche. A working class Batman in a baseball cap.

LIFEFORCE. Professor Quatermass gets caught having a w*nk.
