Really great film that just oozes cool, from it's stylish 80's feel to the sudden bursts of drastic violence to the awesome soundtrack.
And Ryan Gosling surprised the hell out of me with his awesome performance, as did Albert Brooks.
The only other film I've seen of Refn's is Valhalla Rising which while ok didn't really make me crave more of his work, so I was a little indifferent going in, but Drive is great and now I do want to get hold of Only God Forgives.
I LOVE only god forgives but we warned, it's a totally different kind of film. Liking DRIVE is no guarantee that you will like it.

Surely not!

There are certainly a lot of stinkers, but there are some truly great slashers out there (at least I think so!) that are full of re-watch potential. How about Maniac? Pieces? Stagefright...? Just a few of my favourites.

Of course slashers aren't for everyone though.

Chaos (Philip G Atwell, 2005)
The Stath and Franklyn Vs Blade. A film that is less than the sum of its parts I'm afraid.
Rewatched War as well.....Li still the best thing in it.
Must get me The Transporter it seems.....

Graveyard disturbance

Reminded me of a episode of scooby doo, minus scooby and the lesbianism could of been so much more, a few decent scenes. But not in the least bit frightening and the end is a let down . 6/10

Street trash

A classic, full OTT gore and black humour, with likeable characters. The blu ray looks stunning and I love the end song. 7/10

Next up meridian and vineyard two that I've never seen before.

Edit

Finished. Meridian

Really a adult version of beauty and the beast with a few twist and turns in the story and decent acting, found it atmospheric and has the lovely sherilyn fenn(twin peaks) which is always a bonus. 8.5/10

Watching Tootsie which is a Bit of chance of pace of what I've been watching.
Frankie Teardrop likes this.

Really must pick up Street Trash Blu Ray. Worth the upgrade then?
