Visting Hours - Interesting, well made slasher with Michael Ironside giving a convincing performance as the killer. Also it's nice to see a slasher where the cast is no filled with horrible, obnoxious teenagers.

Friday the 13th Part 3 3D
- Mediocre film, and the 3D did nothing for me.

Yeah, Ironside is great in "Visiting Hours" (the photo/kicking scene, cut from the old pre-cert VHS, was effectively sadistic) and yes....Not a ****ing teen in sight! Just.....THE SHATNER!

I agree on "Friday the 13th 3D". It does have one of my favourite kills though...when handstand boy's meat 'n' two veg become TWO meat 'n' two veg!

I thought some of the 3d really worked (the yo yo, the various handles of sharp implements thrust at the screen) but actually the 2 big 3D kill moments (harpoon, eyeball) did not do much.

AND MAN...I hate how long it takes to kill that couple in the opening!

Mind you, I think the print was off.
I noticed the 'blue layer' seemed very obvious and apart from the rest of the image. It never seemed to marry up. Thus making some objects appear double and taking away from the 3D.

On looking with the glasses off for example I noticed that the blue image of a lamp was quite a bit away from the lamp itself, making it look like their were 2 lamps there.

I would have to say that "The Terminator" itself was the first and last film really aimed at an adult audience.
"T 2" was moving into the teen/more mainstream market just by the fact Arnie was never allowed to kill, only injure.
Only the T1000 really kept any violence intact in the film.

Yeah, the blue was off. That was the main reason why i didn't enjoy the 3D fx, it made everthing look blured.

Finally got round to seeing this.

had it for a while but dispite it saying on the sleeve, the Austrian/German release does not have ENG subs, but managed to get hold of a fansubbed version of said release. this film does not offer anything that can't be gained from either Saw or Hostel. Banning this film has only elevated it's status to something it definitley wouldn't of gained otherwise.

IMO there are 3 scenes the BBFC wouls have problems with

the nipple slicing scene
the forced masturbation scene where she is tied up( especially where she squirts)
and finally the blink and you'll miss it shot of her vagina stitched shut

I watched "Twilight" last night.

I'm still angry about it now.
