Just finished watching Japanese Splatter-Gore The Machine Girl. Its a good example of its genre. I enjoyed it.

Friday the 13th

Might not be one of my favourites but it's better than some of the sequels. Loses it's impact after first viewing as you know who the killer is, Betsy Palmer gives a great performance as mrs vorhees a chilling character who you also feel sorry for. 7.5/10

The fly (original )

A classic part murder mystery/ horror. Great performance from the cast which include the legend Vincent Price and David Hedison or Al as he is credit here, of voyage to the bottom of the sea and James Bond fame. The film looks fantastic on blu ray, but I don't why I thought it was black and white. 9/10

The muppet movie

A childhood favourite that I still enjoy too this day, catchy songs who doesn't love rainbow connection and a enjoyable fun story. The real highlight of t his movie is spotting all the wonderful cameos. 9.5/10

PARANORMAN. One of the better zombie films of recent years. A new MTDS family favourite.

I had a Blu-ray double bill of Cronenberg and Romero, The Brood and Dawn of the Dead, excellent.

'28 Weeks Later'
No where near as good as '28 Days Later', but still an entertaining watch. Rose Byrne and Jeremy Renner are excellent, and add to the enjoyment. Robert Carlyle stalking his kids around London, after being infected, was the biggest negative.

I'm probably one of the few who preferred 'Weeks' to 'Days'.

That would be me then. An easily pleased sadist. I much preferred this to his Hatchet films.
