I wanted to enjoy this, a low budget fantasy starring pro-wrestlers and adult film stars (even if they keep their clothes on). Unfortunately despite the best efforts of the production team to hide the tiny budget (which I really wouldn't have minded) and using CGI blood (which I do mind), the script was just never there - far too minimal with far too much padding.

If you can catch it on TV or a watch-it-now type deal, the final third is worth watching, the wrestling bout between the heroes is great fun. The rest is skippable.

Eyes of Fire (1983) An old VHS copy I found in a charity shop today. I wasn't going to watch it tonight but having followed bizarre_eye & Demdike recent discussion I did. Not a great picture but certainly one that I would like to see released from Arrow. Tell the tale of a group of early settlers in the Americas who find an abandoned village and make it their own, but a Demon/Spirit has other ideas. But the villagers are protected unknownst to them by an Angel. As I said not great but one of those films that used to hang on video shop shelves and would be rented by us that remember visiting these places. Glad I bought it

Today I had my annual viewing of the very festive Comfort and Joy!

Also watched, back to back SF's double of TALES FROM THE CRYPT and VAULT OF HORROR.
I've never seen both look and sound so superb!
