That looks pretty poor but being Karloff...hang on he died in 1969.

When exactly was this made? Does he actually feature for more than a few seconds?

It started well with its very unsettling and creepy opening but soon went down hill for me, found it a little too slow and the main character was such an unlikable bitch I just didn't give a damn( mind the rest went much more likeable ) granted it was the Suns activity that was effecting people's behaviour but she was still extremely unlikable. 5/10

It's indeed a funny one. It was primarily shot in Spanish language in Mexico in '69, however Karloff was suffering from pneumonia so his scenes (of which there are very few) were shot in Hollywood. The film was later re-dubbed and sold to TV in the US being re-titled Isle of the Snake People (or even just Snake People to some audiences) - the original Spanish language title is La muerte viviente. It was mostly directed by Juan Ibáñez but was also overseen by Jack Hill who co-wrote the screenplay. I don't think the original Spanish version was ever seen outside of South America.

Santa Sangre is a total mindf*ck but in a good way, i love it.
That's what i'd choose.

From the Franco's i'd probably go for Virgin, depends if your accustomed to his "work" (if that's work then i'd like a job)
Lesbos has a great soundtrack and some nice scenes.
If you want sleaze (take your pick,ahem... except Orloff) then Exorcism is probably your best bet.

I'd second this... although it's a film you need to be in the mood for.

It's one of my all time favourites.

I've went for a change of pace and went for some Star Trek TOS. At times I need to be in the mood for horror while Star Trek I can watch any time. But will definitely watch a Franco tomorrow, just have to decide which one. If it helps I'm not used too his work only seen Jack the Ripper
