The Alligator People (1959)

A run of the mill mad scientist creates mutation movie in which character actor George Macready turns Richard Crane into a scaly gator.

Some nice swampy locations can't make up for awful creature effects - thankfully not on screen until the final seconds - and Lon Chaney jr playing yet another obnoxious character.

Second time of watching but this time was via the lovely looking blu-ray from 101 Films.

Absolutely brilliant, loved it all the bonkers story and characters the shoestring budget , the cheapo effects and the unique acting. A sea captain assembles a group to avenge the death of his farther by a sea monster. Has too be seen to be believed . Is it me or does the woman look like Olive from on the buses with blond hair?

I'm scoring this way higher than it deserves (3/5) because despite how bad it was I also quite enjoyed it.

This is a list, I don't know if they are good points or bad points, or just points

* Some of THE worst acting I've seen in ages
* Terrible action/fight sequences
* What was the plot again?
* The final 'reveal'
* Soundtrack by Anthrax turns out to be maybe 2 cues used repeatedly
* Joey Belladonna is in 1 scene
* The 'Cherry Race'
* Some excellent dialogue such as "...which is not only illegal, but a criminal offence"...
* Plenty of boobs
* Equal opportunity nudity, one of the hairiest behinds I've ever seen!

Bluray looks pristine, fantastic work hah.

I'm pretty sure this is the same reason a lot of Franco films don't have much of a storyline...lost in Lina.

ISLE OF THE DEAD-Classic Karloff,and as usual with a Lewton production,looks beautiful.

TERMINAL VELOCITY-Cheesy but fun Sheen film which features the much missed Gandolfini AND another cistern lid assault.......

VI WARCHAWSKI-Wasn't Kathleen Turner a foxy chick back in the day eh?
Not bad,but the mix of comedy/thriller and action doesn't really gel.
I mean,who the **** gets beaten up from Dennis Nerdy?

STAND ALONE-The ever reliable Charles Durning and the ever foxy Pam Grier take on some nasty hispanic drug dealers while as usual,the cops are as much use as a hole in a condom.
Entertaining little thriller.

THE OMEGA SYNDROME-Dumb but fun actioner as dopey Ken Wahl takes on the white supremacists who've kidnapped his daughter,while as usual the cops are as much use as a chocolate fireguard.....

You see a pattern emerging here?
