The Road. I think it might be the most melancholic and downbeat mainstream film I've come across. I thought it was brilliant.

watched Maniac other day for the first time and while it has a great perfromance from Joe Spinell, the film lacks plot and character developement and seems to be made just to show horrific deaths every 5 minutes. I don't think an uncut version would add anything new to the film..

I do hope so. I think Arrow should get in touch with Bill Lustig at Blue Undergound and do the deal. Worth it just for the documentary, 'The Joe - Spinell Story'.

It has a chilly, sleazyatmosphere that you didn't get out of most low budget slasher films at the time. Even 'Vigilante' has it. One for a late night definately.

Iim happy with my blue underground dvd and blu ray discs
with inferno, island of death, bay of blood, etc. all passed uncut, who klnows with the bbfc?
but they are still dumb on certain films
i really hope they pass deep red uncut even though i have the blue underground and awe dvds, another dvd to my collection...
i remember reading an editor of a horror mag saying, he thinks it depends what mood the censor is in that day!
i would really like maniac shown uncut in the uk.....
a scene in the bird with the crystal plumage shows a girl getting her neglige ripped with aknife and then stabbed where the sun don'y shine!
even so, this scene is nothing compared to horror films now. but...
we have to wait and see
as we all know the bbfc have so many rules and regulayions
shit, they are so fussy with scenes!

In respect of the aforementioned scene, it's pretty implicit. Plus the fact that the scene was trimmed back in 1969. i think today the film would pass uncut.

Just watched My Bloody Valentine 3D in 2D, was pretty surprised. My mate gave it to me for free cause he thought it was shit but I enjoyed it. Not as good as the original though.

As remake, i thought it was pretty good, it also had the added bonus of Tom Atkins too
