Mother - It's hard to say much without giving it away, it takes patience to view it as it is very slow burn (as with a lot of Korean films) but in the end it is rewarding viewing, some good cinematography too.

Apparently it was stock footage. I hope it was, but you never know wth these Italian films.

I watched this last night and thought it was excellent with terrific performances throughout, especially the women who plays the title role. I imagine it would be even better on second viewing but, as I have rented from Lovefilm, depends on whether I want to send it back or keep it an extra night.

BLOODY PIT OF HORROR: totally amazing goth shlock from 60s Italy. Mickey Hargitay is on fire as the crazed, wrestling super star look a like, baddie, "the crimson executioner". The scene where he stands between two mirrors creating endless images of himself, as he oils his chest up whilst ranting about his perfect body is too good to be true.

Would make a great double bill with Hargitay's other over the top performance in "Delirium".

Freddy vs. Jason - good fun
Day of the Dead - Love this film, seen it many times but just fancied watching it last night for some reason.

Watched Deep Red last night. enjoyable film, but I didn't find it as good as I thought it would be. My expectations were due to the comments of others who rate it highly. I was a bit tired last night, so maybe another watch this week will change my mind.

Warrior of the Lost World - Good, cheesy, Post Apocalypse film featuring Robert Ginty, Donald Pleasance and Fred Williamson.

Tornado - Excellent 'Nam actioner from Antonio Margheriti, which I sadly had to watch via the badly pan & scanned UK VHS.
