I've indeed watched it again. And I still love it. The Plague of the Zombies is a spooky, moody and well-paced movie with a two fantastic leading actors (Morell, Carson) and a great role for another Hammer pet - Michael Ripper.
Ant the make-up is really top-notch - it's better than the look of the Zombies in...

...Land of the Dead by George A. Romero, if you ask me. After Day of the Dead, which had a totally desolate and sad setting, this one has a little less social criticism - which makes the movie more watchable. Besides, I always knew Asia Argento could play an authentic pro: "Till somebody figured I'd be a better hooker than a soldier.

My new ranking of Romero's Zombie flicks:
1) Night of the Living Dead - head and shoulders above all other Zombie flicks (with the only exception being the aforementioned Hammer flick)
2) Dawn of the Dead - a bit too long, otherwise really good
3) Land of the Dead - Romero meets cinema
4) Day of the Dead - unpleasant in a literal sense; but has some strong moments, too

Just watched Patrick, the region 2 Optimum disc. Good film but terrible quality; the sound seems to fade for a moment about the ten minute point. No extras, but it was cheap and I hadn't seen it (all the way through) in years.

Just finished a double bill of great British horror: Witchfinder General and Don't Look Now on Blu-ray. They are both brilliant films and have been given the treatment they deserve.

I just watched "Rosemary's Killer" (AKA "The prowler"). The plot is pretty much "by the numbers" stuff, as is the acting but the real star of this film is Tom Savini. His effects work is truly outstanding, as various morons are dispatched by a killer dressed as a US G.I. If you're a fan of eighties slashers and haven't seen this I'd definately recommend it (just don't expect witty dialogue or a thought provoking plot).

Just seen Amityville 1992: Its About Time

the plot is laughable with a haunted clock
the amityville sequels are probs the worst series of movies next to hellraiser sequels.
After part 3 none of the movies have anything to do with Amityville.
Although from the ones I seen, this is aint as bad as Amityville Curse.
Amityville Dollhouse is also hated a lot but I kinda like the whole haunted doll house thing

Does that have a scene where someone is chased/killed by a dog, possibly an alsatian? I'm sure I've seen it years ago. Definitely remember the clock, something about it bein ghidden in ther walls or something?

yeah near the start, the guy gets chased by a dog and gets his leg injured.
the clock is in the living room and drills itself into the mantle piece and then at the end you see there are clockwork wheels behind the walls.
