watched the beeb's print of Amityville2 :the possession. wish it had been uncut. what an odd film. never seen it before as i never really gave a f about the original...sweaty Burt Young and his family move into "that" house, and immedialtely regret it

also watched as much as i could stand of 5's pan and scan Blue Thunder (always prefered it to a certain other helicopter series hahaha) christ whats the point in this day and age i asks you??
Amy 2 got the chop before it even got released, read at the time all the gore was cut by the studio(including Burt's head going boom via shotgun blast)

Watched Cronenberg's Shivers again last night - another classic and one of his best films IMO. Up there with The Fly and Videodrome for me.

Ah bugger! I recorded this and hadn't watched it yet. Was it definitely the old trimmed version? I was hoping they had updated their print. May have to buy the Sanctuary DVD instead!

One of the few sequels I prefer to the first film. Never thought much of The Amityville Horror, but Damiani brings a really dark, European sensibiliity to the sequel/prequel.

Default What films have you seen recently?

Carpenter's PRINCE OF DARKNESS
I don't think I had ever seen the whole film before
anyway I thought it was good, some good sfx for low budget film
not one of his best though

Its a film i thought ok on first viewing, i now regard it as one of his best films. It grows on you each time you see it.
