It helps that the two lead performances by Anne Parillaud (from Nikita) and Arthur Dupont were excellent.
yup
Arthur Dupont was very good. good actor

Recent views:

Black Dahlia - Not as good as L.A. Confidential. A bit disjointed in places, but stuck with it as I enjoyed James Ellroy's original novel.

Armored - Average heist flick, decent cast mind.

Jonah Hex - Oh dear........... (Thank christ I hired it!)

Paul - Loved it, not as laugh out loud as SOTD or Hot Fuzz though, but still very funny.

Drive Angry - Awesome! Gore, nudity, violence, American muscle cars & Amber Heard. What's not to like...

Forbidden Planet - My blu bargain from Play.com (£5.99!). Classic stuff, nuff said.

Vamp - Arrow come up trumps again! A great slice of nostalgia I'd not seen since the late 80's. Fantastic, so glad I purchased it.

MASSACRE (Andrea Bianchi, 1988) - Enjoyably silly Italian horror, one of the films Fulci borrowed footage from for CAT IN THE BRAIN.

BIRDS OF PREY (Rene Cardona Jr, 1987) - Not bad but let down by some unnecessary scenes of birds being shot.

Finally got around to watching

Social Network

Terrific film! Great performances from all .. the guy who played Eduardo went criminally unrecognised at the Oscars!

Incredible sound design too ... and I only watched it on DVD.

That would be Andrew Garfield and it was incredible that he wasn't nominated in the Best supp Orting Actor category. The Academy got several things wrong such as omitting Christopher Nolan for Best Director and putting Hailee Steinfeld in the Best Supporting Actress category rather than Best Actress. I have no doubt that both Garfield and Steinfeld will at least be nominated, if not win Oscars in the future.
