I quite agree and it was interesting to find out on the commentary that her outfit for Triangle was all her idea. She may be no Thomas Edison, but that was an inspired piece of thinking!

Last night, I watched Stonehenge Apocalypse, Vampire Circus and Cat in the Brain -- a real variety of quality!

after a bit of prompting i finally watched THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES...meh. if it had been told more naturally, i might have cared more about protagonist's plight, just dont like gere (never again) and this proved it to me, he can't emote convincingly IMO. the direction was too flashy, and amongst "urban myth" films it's nae a patch on LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK. 2/10.

Last night's viewing for me was Entrails of a Virgin. Mildly entertaining film, made me giggle more than anything else...especially the scene where a woman masturbates with a severed arm

Also watched Eden Lake the other night for the second time. I really do think it's a fantastic film. Must get round to writing a review of it when I'm less busy, I keep thinking about it!

Default Triangle

Have just watched 'Triangle' and found it original and perplexing. Made me consider many lines of thought to explain the plot. Lucid dreaming, quantum theory, schizophrenia, hell - the film definitely needs at least one more viewing. There are plenty of nods to 'The Shining' - the taxi at the end had the motto 'striving for excellence', an anagram I can't quite puzzle out but may be on the right lines with words like 'existing' and 'forever' that seem to pop out.

watched Payback: Directors Cut on blu last night and it's an almost completely different film, the entire 3rd act is new and ejects Kristofferson's Bronson, still completely badass and to behonest i think i like this new version better..

Two things I didn't like about The DC of Payback (well one thing I didn't like and one thing I wished was in it). I preferred the music in the theatrical cut, especially the main theme inspired by The Taking Of Pelham One Two Three, although Brian Helgeland said the music from the TC didn't seem to fit his version, so I suppose I can live with it, and the other thing was that he removed a scene where you see how Porter managed to get into Resnick's room at the hotel. (this scene was in the Helgaland's original cut before Gibson and the studio got their hands on it. so I was surprised that the scene wasn't there).

From IMDB:

In Helgeland's version, Porter does not merely appear in Resnick's hotel room in the mob hotel. He sets fire to a garbage truck to distract the hoods out of the hotel lobby, then has a nasty encounter with another hood in the hotel elevator, eventually leaving the hood unconscious with the elevator doors banging open and closed on his head. Gibson describes this scene in an interview in Premiere Magazine: "I get on an elevator with some guy," Gibson says with relish, "the guy notices I'm not supposed to be on the elevator and the next time the doors open you see that I've ripped the guy's eye out. Then I see him later as he's going into some office, and I say, 'Oh, it's you again, Cyclops' and I poke the guy's other eye out."

That's an excellent list of films, bizarre_eye -- I haven't seen the first four of those but will now add them to my (ever-increasing) wish list.

Not had a lot to do today, was cleansing software on a mate's PC so decided to watch

Push (on Blu)

As pointed out a few posts back, I love films that mess with time and stuff like that .. etc.

Payback is another. Though not sure we are talking about the same one as above : -)

Last night watched Arrow's City of the Living Dead - obviously an amazing film - and just finished watching Phantom of the Paradise, which is also a great film. Beef is the best!
