Attack the block ...quite enjoyed this no brainer of a film entertaining...
Blackout...bit like an american version of atttack the block but this film wants attacking cutting up and throwing away and not seen again PANTS...the only decent thing is i liked the monster/alien creature..

Watched Macabre for the first time yesterday, bit of a plodder but I enjoyed it, obviously Bava Jnr isn't a patch on his dad but I still think he did a good job with this. Followed it with Night Train Murders, which I think is up there with Last House on the left and HOTEOTP, the villains were very convincing, although not as much as His Royal Sleaziness David Hess, especially the un-named Lady on the train.
Tonight's viewing(after the kids have watched the X Factor) is going to be Hatchet(1st viewing) followed by either a Fulci classic or possibly Phantom of death(another 1st viewing)

I saw Attack the Block in the cinema.
Was very entertaining.

I just seen Arrow's Savage Streets

Its a good flick although the end left a bit to be desired.
How she was all tough and as soon as she got hit she turned into a typical "scared female"

Tonight is the wife's turn to pick a movie, we got Take me home tonight in the mail from Netflix. I hope it's decent. After she goes to bed I will probably plug in one of the many new purchases and watch it with the commentary. Maybe Pieces.

Just watched Make Way For Tomorrow. What can I say, tearjerker or what? Sobbed at the end, even though you can make your own mind up as to how you really want it to end. Such a sweet little film that made me laugh and made me cry which is all good in my eyes. Great blind buy for me. May pick up more of the Masters of Cinema releases if I ever find them at a reasonable price

i really enjoyed Take Me Home Tonight, it has a very cool 80s all nighter feel to it, films like Licence To Drive, Dance Till Dawn and The Night Before.

Rewatch of Planet of the Apes (original). Never gets old.

Vampire girl vs Frankenstein Girl. As expected from these guys. Good silly fun.

Just finished watching Hatchet. Cracking film, not really original but that's not a bad thing, I do think that if this had been made in the 80's during the Slasher boom, then it may have disappeared as it is quite similar IMO to the Burning. Overall though, really enjoyed it, great use of cliches, inventive death scenes, likeable characters and well made, only complaint is that it's a little too short. Looking forward to my BD of Hatchet 2 from the other weeks comp turning up now!
Love the tagline too: "It's not a remake, it's not a sequel and it's not based on a Japanese one", classic
