I read it's going to be made into a three-part miniseries for TV.

I think I'm one of maybe five people in the world that actually likes Exorcist II.

I'm not holding my breath – I don't know if I'd even watch it – because there's been rumours about a miniseries based on The Exorcist since about 2010, first involving Friedkin and Blatty, and then without them.

I'd much rather Morgan Creek allowed Blatty to make his director-approved version of the film, entitled Legion.

I don't think it's a great film, but i found it interesting and sort of enjoyed it for all the dodginess on offer. I like the Ennio Morricone soundtrack too, or at least the Africa part anyway.
Then again while i acknowledge 'The Exorcist' as a classic film, i can't be arsed to actually watch it that often.
Yet i will happily watch 'The Antichrist', 'Amityville 2- The Possession' or the alternate rip off 'Exorcist 3- Cries and shadows' and enjoy all of them.
The proper 'Exorcist 3' is pretty good too i think.
I think 'The Exorcist' is so well made and self important, that i actually don't find it that entertaining and really have to be in the right mood.
