Whispers in the Dark [DVD] [2005] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000AQKUTK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Q-xFAbM0595FG

This is the one I have. Noshame dvd release. I'd suggest also checking eBay but unlike a lot of their releases it's never really gone up in price. Decent picture quality and some bonus material.

I've never been a fan of 'Gothic', but i love 'Altered states' and 'Lair of the white worm'.
Have you seen the 'The Devils', 'Tommy' and 'Crimes of passion'?, my other favourite Ken Russell films and well worth watching if you enjoy the films mentioned.

We watched Assassin's Creed last night & while I found it unwatchably boring & confusing, she followed it all the way!

Currently watching Gothic (Ken Russell) as I have Altered States & Lair of the White Worm on the horizon. Can't say I'm impressed, lot of foppish folk poncing around & the acting is terrible (particularly Julian Sands who has the wide-eyed gurning look of one of the kids from the first Harry Potter).

Hoping I like other Ken Russell movies but this one is a mess at the moment!
If she likes sci-fi and you like horror, how do you think these would work as films to suit both interests?

Event Horizon
The Fly (1986)
Re-Animator
Pitch Black
Slither
28 Days Later & 28 Weeks Later
Invitation of the Body Snatchers (1978)
Cube
Life

I haven't seen Gothic, but I really like Lair of the White Worm and Altered States.

I thought it may be the NoShame release you had. Nice one.

That link is blank for some reason. Nothing comes up in the page.

Ha,ha. I love Gothic. (Although when i first saw it i wasn't keen but that was in the 80's when it first appeared on video shop shelves).

It's guaranteed October viewing for me every year.

Out of the Fog
A convict is released from prison and is sent to a hostel. A series of murders happen in the flats every month during the full moon. The police believe it to be the convict, but he has an alibi.
An interesting crime drama with a chirpy soundtrack. I won't say it's brilliant. But it is worth a watch.
