I loved it but maybe thats cause I aint a star wars fan and only went to see it cause its a JJ Abrahams movie. Was very suprised at how much I like it.
I used to watch next generation tv show but wasnt a huge fan. Altho I thought First Contact was a very good movie too.
that's where we differ, i was brought up watching trek because my mothers a huge fan and for me the movie completey disregared 40 years of star trek. you should check out the earlier movies, and i agree that First contact is a good film, definately the best of the next gen ones.

see now my knowlage of star wars is what would be called obssessive, from the cash-in ewok movies to the clone wars animated, im slightly star wars mad. only really got into horror when i was about 15/16 and never looked back.

Just watched the awesomeness that is Highlander, I actually forgot how kick-ass that film was, although it's hard to watch the kurgan without think of Mr. Krabs from spongebob because Clancy Brown does his voice,

I just don't understand the appeal of Highlander. It's still one of the worst films I've ever seen!

Watched Mirrors last night - the first Alexandre Aja film to disappoint me. Starts off fairly well with a nice creepy atmosphere going on but descends into noisy silly action-horror clichédom. It also doesn't know when to end, gear changing through two or three suitable end points before finally finishing, Return Of The King style. It thus drags for the last twenty or so minutes.

Going to try to get Into The Mirrors this week to see if the original does any better by the story.

I love Highlander myself.Granted,Christophe Lambert does the worst scottish accent this side of Brigadoon but I still love it.Some great Queen songs in there too.I even like all the sequels and the tv show and own them all. There can be only one......

For me Highlander was the first 15 rated film i ever saw, i've loved it ever since, The queen songs make this film that much better aswel, as for the sequals, Highlander 2 is on my list for tonight, don't really care much for the rest and never seen the show,

The Republic dvd Renegade version or the more recent Lionsgate release? I had the Republic dvd and got rid of it when I bought the Lionsgate version only to find out that it was actually missing a scene from the older Renegade dvd.Annoyed the hell out of me that did.

The Republic version. Ive also got their release of the original Invasion of the bodysnatchers, quite a good little company, i didn't even know lionsgate had released it. I've got the immortal edition of the first film from optimum which i bought after owning the studio canal version. This immortal release is far superior.
