Not so much as an 'is it worth buying' as which version would you recommend? Can anyone recommend a good release of The Last Man on Earth? The Vincent Price movie.
I have an old ropey dvd from Blackhorse Entertainment. I'm region free for dvd but not blu. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

It sounds promising as it's based on Shrine by James Herbert.

I didn't realise this was based on a Jimmy Sherbert book. Can't say I know anything about it Dem but I'm definitely interested now.

Beyond me how little Herbert has really been adapted. Stephen King has had multiple adaptations of some of his work and I don't personally think he's a patch on Jim.

Kio lorber have released it on Blu Stateside and cam be bought via the usual outlets.

it was released by MGM via their Midnite Movies branding on dvd but i doubt that's available anymore.

Among several shitty looking copies on Mill Creek sets i have this dvd which actually looks quite good. Same goes for House on Haunted Hill.

Sorry. My dvd is region one and VLC player won't do screen grabs from it i'm afraid.

Hang on. I'm sure i've done screen grabs previously. Bear with me.

I did get screen grabs from The House on Haunted Hill and the picture quality is the same as The Last Man on Earth.

You should just get the Kino Lorber Blu-ray. It's a fine film.
