Watched Doro's 25 Years in Rock 3 dvd set again last night. Well not all of it or i would have still been up at 5.30 am...Oh! i was.

A superb arena show with a tight band and Doro in great voice. As it was a celebration Tarja Turunen, Bobby Blitz Ellsworh, Girlschool, Floor Jansen, Jean Beauvoir, Liv Kristin, Axel Rudi Pell, Klaus Meine and Rudolph Schenker also come along for the ride.

Hours of great heavy metal. Recommended.

I saw Warlock when they were supporting Dio back in the 80's

They are one of the few support bands where I was so impressed, I got one of their t-shirts at the show

Watched The Decline Of Western Civilisation (1981, Penelope Spheeris) and its Metal Years sequel.

The first film is a flawed but nevertheless essential snapshot of the LA scene at the time. Now if only someone would put out Another State Of Mind!! The sequel is hysterically funny if like me, you find METAL to be ludicrously funny. Now I understand that this may alienate some folk here. Tough. I laugh as much at certain TG songs. Haven't watched the 3rd, though I have seen a shoddy bootleg. I'm sure it will look betterer haha.

Just bought this on a whim...

I used to have the 2 separate VHS tapes and I was always curious why it was never re-issued on DVD in Europe. Haven't seen this for easily 20 years, I can't wait to watch it again! I particularly love the bit where James is losing his voice and a very unsympathetic Lars is urging him to do one more take.

I watched Pink Floyd; The Wall this morning. Real blast from the past, now there's something that is crying out for a Blu ray release.

Any answers are great, thanks.

Does it utilize the location well? I've been to Pompeii and wondered if they lit it up well with their stage and light show.
