If there's one thing I know, it's that post isn't cheap. I wish I had stockpiled postage stamps marked by class rather than value a decade ago!

We don't physically write many letters, but I don't think I have bought a stamp since 2002, and I expect it'll be the tail end of next year before I have to do so!

I'm so sick and tired of 88 Films not doing proper color correction on their own Italian transfers. Watched Absurd, Aenigma, and Beyond the Darkness last night, and they all had that same ugly greenish/yellow tint. Even the shadows and grain has a green tone to it. An example, the main characters in Beyond the Darkness is wearing a grey sweater. Any time he moves into the shadows, it turns green. The blood is more orange than red etc. Saw some screenshots of the Severin disc, that has been corrected, and looks beautiful in comparison. Not the same shot, but the same scene: 88 film: http://i.imgur.com/b2xzxoc.jpg Severin: https://severin-films.com/wp-content...ess-still2.jpg And now this, on Facebook: Old: https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...91&oe=5A083AF8 Remaster: https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ae&oe=5A0B96C7 Yes, the remaster has way better contrast and sharpness, but once again, the green/yellow tint is there. People are commenting on this, but 88 films says it's color corrected and finished. Are they color blind? It's like watching on a CRT projection, where the blue tube has faded or died. Until they learn how to do proper color timing, I will stop buying their releases, and buy the Synapse or Code Red releases instead, as they always looks way better, thanks to the improved colors.

Arrow did the same with their Demons releases, where they didn't color correct the transfers. Thankfully Synapse brought back the colorful look, that the movie is know for. How would you like Suspiria, with the colors drained, and a greenish/yellow tint instead?

I can't say I have noticed anything about the colour balance or overall visual quality which has stood out negatively either.
