So whilst we are on the subject of 88 transfers its been reported on Blurage that Cyborg has been transferred from the old MGM master rather than the new Shout master. Whilst there are some on Blurage pleased about this I haven't been able to find a negative review for the Shout release.

I think I'll wait for a comparison before taking the plunge.

I'd take the MGM master any day. The Shout one looks far too bright and it loses detail because of it.

Shout Factory seem to take good quality masters and then ruin them by adding noise reduction.

But anyway, the above posts show you have to be careful with them sometimes if you are looking for the best possible product for a particular film.

I can't find any references to either Burial Ground or Zombie Holocaust being reissued by them, although I do remember there being some negative comments about the colour timing of the latter and possibly a small number of their other Italian titles.

Some of the Severin releases, for instance Last Cannibals, are superior though, so I suppose you have to make a choice.

That is one of the their last bad releases though, they've gone from strength to strength over the last few years, no more piss yellow filters for a start

Their Hong Kong releases for example have been amazing.

I haven't got many of their Hong Kong releases, but the ones that I've seen are very impressive. Armour of God should be a great release as well.
