No technical fault.
The Severed Arm is missing some dialogue scenes/exposition but all of the gore and violence missing from the tv print is there.
However some people were very vocal about it not being truly uncut so Bill (temporarily?) recalled it.

Meanwhile the disc has become very sought after (and expensive) and lots of people have started to contact Bill asking to still buy it.
I hope it will be made available again for the people who don't really care about the missing scenes or want it for So Sad About Gloria.

Here's the complete statement from Bill.
Btw I don't think anyone asked for a refund yet.

"SEVERED ARM – Money Back Offer

There have many complaints about the print of THE SEVERED ARM not being uncut on our recent DVD release. We acquired a supposedly uncut UK theatrical print, but unfortunately that print apparently was trimmed of some footage that was part of the uncut US theatrical version. Even though all the violence/gore footage was still intact, some other footage had unfortunately been trimmed in this UK print. Code Red apologizes for the error, and has immediately discontinued the DVD and will not be reissuing this film. Not many units had been sold, but if you bought one and are unhappy with the disc and would like to send it back, just contact us via e-mail and we’ll take it back and refund your money. The title has now been permanently removed from our webstore and is no longer available. We do have other cool movies coming soon, though, so hopefully some will be of interest. Thank you for your continued support."

It was recalled and then deleted completely just because a few moaned it wasn't 100% complete? Bit of an overreaction don't you think.

**** the moaners, I think some people buy these things just to find fault and complain.

Agreed.

Its because Bill rises to the bait probably and answers the moaners with his own rants.

As some of the moaners were saying that someone could be suing for misrepresentation as it was advertised as uncut...
There are some weird people out there...

Thats really pathetic.

Misrepresentation could be applied to most advertising campaigns, especially in the film world.

That could also be applied to 100's of other releases.

I agree with Dem, people must do it because he rises to it every time.

All Bill has to do if he's really that bothered is put a statement on the page to explain. I'm sorry but the way he runs the business and gets so affected by what people say on some Internet forum is just bizarre. It actually almost makes me want to support the label less because his product has now just become an easy target mainly for scalpers and not actual fans or potential fans of the films.

I bet at least half of what he sells now just sits sealed waiting for the right time to be sold again.

Scalpers will buy anything they think will gain in value.
So basically all limited or soon to be oop cult titles are targeted by them, not just CR.

CR has a relatively big fan base (also in the UK and Europe) for such a small (but important imho) player on the US dvd market.
