Yes. They will be putting James Whales Old Dark House out as a MoC release. I can feel it in my bones.

It's a wonderful film, so I hope you're right.

Just to be clear here, I'm not basing it on anything but my own personal hopes.

Witchery going on here...

New Announcement! Eureka have recently acquired the rights to one of the greatest horror films ever made, James Whale's 1932 film THE OLD DARK HOUSE.

Frankenstein director Whale turned J.B. Priestley’s novel "Benighted" into a nerve-jangling tale that became the template for all spooky-house chillers to come. Stranded travelers stumble upon a strange old house, and find themselves at the mercy of a highly eccentric and potentially dangerous family. This atmospheric thriller features an unforgettable post-Frankenstein horror role for Boris Karloff, as the hulking, disfigured butler Morgan. Also starring in early-career roles are Melvin Douglas, Charles Laughton, Raymond Massey and Gloria Stuart of Titanic.

THE OLD DARK HOUSE is set to be released theatrically in the UK in 2018, ahead of joining The Masters of Cinema Series on home video later in the year. More details to follow...

Classic Movies and Contemporary Arthouse Cinema feature amongst Eureka's latest Acquisitions & November 2017 Line Up - Read the full story here Redirecting...
