It's a touch peculiar with the former as if i recall correctly the villainous Jared Syn doesn't get destroyed at all but actually escapes!

Is the latter also known as Warrior Of The Lost World?
If it is this film is great fun with the late Ginty astride his 'Supersonic Speedcycle' and Donald Pleasance playing a cut-price bad guy once again.

Excellent electronic music score in this movie too btw!

Nope.
Those pics came from the 'Design your own Shameless covers' thread.

Yeah, Jared Syn escapes. I remember this movie was shown in 3-D at the cinemas, right ?

You're right about Robert Ginty. The title should be WARRIOR OF THE LOST WORLD. I must have mistaken it with BATTLE TRUCK a.k.a. WARLORDS (not Warriors) OF THE 21st CENTURY.

I've just read news from the Digital Bits, WARLORDS OF THE 21st CENTURY is slated for release this summer (if I'm not mistaken) with DEATH SPORT (David Carradine) on a double feature R1 dvd. Gotta check that out.

I believe so and there's some nice artwork on EIV's VHS release.

I wonder whatever happened to the film's lead actor Jeffrey Byron?
Apart from M:TDOJS i only ever saw him in Ragewar:The Challenges Of Excalibrate.

He went on to appear in the General Hospital spin-off TV series Port Charles, and recently popped up briefly as the Kobayashi Maru test administrator in the new Star Trek film.
