SPOILER about the 2016 Christmas episode

It's not really filling me with enthusiasm!

It sounds ****ing dreadful is what you are i think trying to say.

nosferatu42 29th September 2016 11:08 PM

To be honest the Christmas episodes i always approach with a sense of dread.
Balls to the xmas watered down who, just get on with the good stuff.

Susan Foreman 4th October 2016 06:32 PM

Missing Avengers episode found!

Is it too much to hope that there are some 'Doctor Who' announcements to come soon - concerning the full 'Power Of The Daleks' maybe!

There's not really been one Christmas special that I could honestly say I truly liked, bar The Christmas Invasion. Why can't we just have a flipping decent Christmas adventure without Christmas even being mentioned or seen in the episode. Just a really good action/adventure Doctor Who story.

I'll certainly bypass the Xmas special. It sounds like total shit.

Given that they've spent a fortune animating it, I think that is too much to hope for, yes! :tongue1:

I've heard a rumbling or two about Wheel in Space, but it's probably the usual balls.

I would think Wheel is a possible candidate for animating the missing episodes. Sadly it wouldn't be my first choice though.

Doctor Who Christmas special: Why is it called The Return of Doctor Mysterio?

Interesting, but more interesting is that it suggests that the Great Intelligence may be back

Perhaps we will see some proper yeti back in the show...or probably not

It certainly seems to be a GI in his logo.

Wonder if the Matt Smith theme means he might be making an appearance at some point. It would tie in with the Great Intelligence as it's probably somewhere in his timeline os some bollocks like that.

Hi. I'm Mr. Dike. I don't bother watching anything that other people post because I am so super! But if I had watched what Susan had so kindly posted, I would have realsied IT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TRAILER ;) :tongue1:

While we are at it:

There is a new and extended trailer for 'Class'

"The footage gives us our first proper look at the world of Class, including its characters, monsters and tone."

Susan Foreman 8th October 2016 06:05 AM

October 8, 1966 - Episode one of the 'Doctor Who' story "The Tenth Planet" was broadcast. The cliffhanger featured the first appearance of The Cybermen, arguably the second most popular monster in the shows history

This is Jill Curzon, who played Louise in 'Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.'

Quote from Steven Moffat at NYC Comic Con

Quote:

We have got some new writers. We’re not rolling them all out now. Oh, I could do one fun thing. We’ve got Mike Bartlett coming in. He’s just done ‘The Haunted Hub,’ a brilliant script from Mike Bartlett. He wrote the show ‘Doctor Foster,’ Has it been over here? No? Well, it’s brilliant, and he’s a brilliant playwright. And he’s been a long-time fan of ‘Doctor Who.’ He put his new hit series on hold for a couple of weeks so could write an episode of ‘Doctor Who.’ And — oh, what the hell. For the first time ever, someone who wrote for the classic series — and I’m not saying who — is going to write an episode of the new series! Deal with that!
Start the guessing game now!

I'm going for Ben Aaronovitch. (Remembrance of the Daleks)

Susan Foreman 9th October 2016 06:01 PM

Hope it's not Kevin Clarke - 'Silver Nemesis' is a mess

Maybe Marc Platt, so he can do a sequel to 'Ghost Light', explaining what that story is all about!

I've seen it enough to fully understand. Ghost Light has become one of my all time fave stories.

Andrew Smith (Full Circle) is my other guess.

Interesting!

This was tweeted earlier today

As it happens, 'SS' is the production code for 'The Wheel in Space', a story which is currently (?) incomplete

iank 11th October 2016 09:40 PM

Interesting, given I've heard Wheel mentioned lately.
One hopes they actually know something legit and aren't just tweeting for attention/echo-chambering. Then again, they did know about the Power animation in advance. :pop2:

iank 11th October 2016 09:56 PM

Someone on another forum has pointed the capitalised D in "toDay".
D is the production code for Marco Polo.

Other than 'Androzani', I'd say this is a pretty good choice

What's up with Androzani?

No Dalek story is daft.

Why not Genesis for fans of The Magicians Apprentice?

I wouldn't have The Mind Robber at all.
