I think this version of the Silurians should have had reptile-eye contact lenses

For me, they don't work with human eyes

I don't like them at all really. The mask coverings they wear as armour should have been the real face design for me.

I rewatched Planet of Fire a couple of weeks ago. Loved it. It's a bit of an unheralded classic to me.

The Herald, dated February 15, 1967

Text:

"The A.A. are concerned about shotgun incidents at two of their roadside boxes is North Perthshire -- believed possibly to be the work of somebody intent on shooting the television character Dr Who.

Three weeks ago a box at Wades Stoat on the Perth-Inverness road had a hole blown in its door by a shotgun blast. The offender then opened the door and fired another shot into the back of the box, badly damaging telephone equipment.

About a week Later a similar incident occured at Bruer Falls, Calvine, on the same road.

An A.A. official said:—"Police believe the man could have a bee in his bonnet abort Dr Who. Dr Who uses a police box, which is similar to an A.A. box, and this person could be trying to shoot the doctor, whom he may believe to be after him."

He said he had also heard of a similar incident at Glencoe."
