"It can't have escaped your attention that Doctor Who is nearly FIFTY years old. There's loads happening over November and we now have a pretty comprehensive list of what , where and when it's being broadcast...

The obvious key ones are An Adventure in Space and Time on 21st November and Day of the Doctor on 23rd November...

Doctor Who News: Cineworld Competition

"Cineworld Shaftesbury Avenue are offering readers of Doctor Who News two tickets to the screening of The Day of the Doctor.

The screening takes place on the evening of 23rd November at the cinema in London's West End. Winners would need to make their own way to the location. To enter just tell us the name of the two previous feature films, based on Doctor Who. Send entries to comp-cineworld@doctorwhonews.net. Competition closes on 15 November 2013."

"The BBC have confirmed the transmisison time of 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor as 7.50pm (GMT).

Around the world, that equates to:

2.50pm in New York
11.50am in Los Angeles
6.50am on Sunday 24 in Sydney"

Absolutely great, not only since it refers to an old Tom Baker 4-parter (The Brain of Morbius), which I had seen not too long ago, it also features... ahh, see for yourself

BBC4 is showing the 4 episode of 'An Unearthly Child' on Thursday, 21st Nov, starting at 22:30

Presumably this is to prepare people for the 'Adventure in Time and Space' thing
