Though it doesn't get much more surreal than Kinda.

You're wrong

'Doctor Who' is at it's best when it does surreal stories

If you take them at face value, ALL Who is surreal. See Survivial of the Fittest (currently on R4Xtra) ahem.

Andre Breton might not have approved though

Hi. Just started collecting the Doctor Who DVDs not that long ago as most here know. Was wondering if the Revisitations boxsets were worth picking up and which is the best.
Also I notice that some box sets sell out and don't come back are any in risk of going OOP. Been looking for info but so far google has not been my friend.

The only box set's I can think of that is OOP is the original The Key to Time Saga box set (a 3D replica of the Key to Time with a tansparent slip cover, I own it) and the Davros boxset, which was a simple re-package anyway and was hideously over priced.
Some box set's contain very good storys and are logicaly connected serials, Beneath the Surface (The Silurians, The Sea Devils, Warriors of the Deep) the Peladon boxset (Curse of Peladon, Monster of Peladon) and The Mara Tales( Kinda, Snakedance) are all great editions.

Beneath the Surface and Bred For War were the two that I went for first(after the New Beginnings boxset) for just the reason you mentioned.

I love the way the boxsets are connected. I'm pretty much researching all the sets right now trying to decide what to order next. I usually get two at a time. I am getting Trial of a Timelod.(great features, fairly cool stories and a complete series)

I just wish there was a good classic Cybermen boxset.

There is one with Silver Nemesis and Revenge of the Cybermen.

However its not actually very good as the stories are average at best.

In fact The Invasion, Earthshock and Tomb of the Cybermen apart all the Cybermen stories are a bit poor.

Earthshock is freaking unbelievable! Easily one of the best 5th Doctor storys ever.

I'm a huge cybermen fan although I really hate the revamp new cybermen.

Silver Nemesis and Revenge is an ok set but it means I need to own Silver Nemesis, which in my opinion is actually a worse serial than Time and the rani.
