My response to the casting amounted to rolled eyes and a yawn. Never heard of him. Not exactly the name this ailing brand needed to relaunch after the disastrous Whittaker.
And I'm absolutely positive the colour of his skin had nothing to do with this choice at all.

I think this is a problem several years ago I wouldnt think skin colour or gender had much to do with casting choice for the next doctor but the way they've treated Jodie and the way bbc dramas have been going lately I cant help but think that yeah part of the reason why is because of his skin. Shame.
But again I havent seen him in anything else and he wouldnt be the first doctor that I've not seen before so I'll wait and see.
I'm more concerned about how the new shows will turn out, yes rtd is a better writer but again his genre writing has taken a nosedive when compared to his "children shows" dark season and century falls and I still think bbc have been pushing much stuff onto dr who just like a hollywood studio does, I just cant help but not think much will change.

Well, the BBC, your State loving Ministry of Truth have pushed this agenda of inclusion and diversity to the limit. I don't endorse getting rid of the BBC, but after the experiment peddled out by the BBC with Whittaker and Chibnall, Russell T. Davies will still add in plenty of much needed diversity, and some fine sprinkling of inclusion throughout his new series of Who. The BBC is all about using ethic people to push a fully multicultural Britain using endless dramas and comedies to promote less white people, and more ethic non white people. It seems white identity and history is being erased in documentaries and drama series with a historical angle. Just look at some eps of Dr Who more recently. It's all very devisive behaviour from the BBC. But then again, the BBC is their to educate (laugh), and also inform the viewer with its 'expert' view and rewriting of the historical context of white history that doesn't fit the new world of diversity. Russell T. Davies is as diverse and inclusive as they come, and fits in nicely with the BBC mantra.
