Hopefully they've learned and given the characters people disliked from the previous outing a lot less screen time.

It's not pandering to fan boys it's about getting people to pay to see the film so if there were lots of scenes in the trailer involving the annoying Asian girl then i can imagine it may hit it's opening weekend.

Lucas did the same thing with Jar Jar. He was barely in Revenge of the Sith.
