dont open that trapdoor!
this will cause battlelines to be drawn up once more, but i merely think that whereas Suspiria/ Inferno are Argento films....MOT is a film made by Argento, if you catch my drift....
if you get it cheaply enough, or can rent it, go for it (its nae as bad as the Card Player IMO) but i think it's only worth it for Kier's cameo (but then i would haha).

Default What films have you seen recently?

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE - De Palma's film is the best by far in the series
CRIMES OF PASSION - Ken Russell's ott again with a good Kathleen Turner as cheap whore China Blue and Anthony Perkins in fine form as the psychotic Preacher out to kill her, with a razor edged dildo

Man, I've been so busy I've totally neglected these here forums.

On Sunday I had my sci-fi prison triple bill.

Wedlock as silly and irreverent as I remember. Hauer sporting Seagal cast offs and a paunch to match. He spends a lot of the film getting liquid on his face (thanks to my mate Jim for pointing this out). Joan Chen looks unbelievably hot (whatever happened to her?)

No Escape has one of the best openings to a film I've ever seen, but it's way too long at 113 mins. There are some fun moments here and there, but overall it's quite uneven.

Fortress Stuart Gordon doing the business with Lambert, Jeffrey Combs and Kurtwood Smith. Some nice touches of gore help beef up a pretty pedestrian plot. Still a whole lot of fun.

Watched the Halloween sequels over the last few nights - The Return of Michael Myers, The Revenge of Michael Myers and The Curse of Michael Myers.

Although i have seen them all several times before i've never watched them back to back. All three are pretty good and form part of their own trilogy, by The Curse of Michael Myers the story is so far removed from Carpenter's original work its almost unrecognisable.

I'm not too sure how Curse ends though. Are the strangulated cries from the hospital Loomis finally killing Michael, or the other way round?
Pleasance's last line is "I'm going back inside, unfinished business", the camera then shows Michael's mask lying empty on the floor and terrible screaming. Halloween H20 the next film in the series has nothing to do with any of this trilogy so that tells you nothing.

Anyone any ideas.?

Stake Land. Really excellent and one of the best of the year! Recommend it unreservedly. Wish I had bought the blu ray as the picture quality is apparently fantastic. Terrific film.
