You'll Find Out (1940)

There are three good reasons to see this comedy haunted house movie. Four if you count entertainer Kay Kyser and his swing lounge band whose musical numbers performed in the film firmly date it as a product of the forties. Those first three reasons are it's stars - Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre and Bela Lugosi.

Karloff, cool and just as sinister as ever has the film stolen off him by Peter Lorre, outstanding as a skeptical professor, all humorously bug eyed whilst smoking some infuriatingly long cigarettes. Lugosi does what Lugosi does - hams it up, this time as a turban sporting mystic. However even Lugosi gives a lower key performance than usual as the film revolves around Kyser and his charmingly funny antics.

Recommended to hardcore fans of classic horror.

I saw Fargo this morning. I don't know why but I've been postponing viewing this film years now but today I finally saw it and what a great movie! I really, really liked it. Steve Buscemi is a favorite of mine as well.

Now has anyone seen the tv series? Is it any good?

Hatchet III. Ho hum.. too much talk, too much like for like gore scenes. I kinda liked the very last shot of the girl dying with a single tear running from her eye...
