It'll probably never get another viewing.

The only superhero film's i've seen more than once are the Burton Batman films and Christopher Reeve's first two Superman films.

A case where a film's title is a real misnomer. 'The Far from Amazing Spiderman' would have been more apt!

I'm less keen on those.

I'd still take them over the vast majority of modern day superhero films though.

Totally agree. They seem more real.

As i mentioned the Spiderman film worked better as a high school movie than it did as a superhero flick, possibly due to any realism going out the window in a swish of a cartoon lizard tail.

The Strange Colour Of Your Body's Tears:

Finally got around to watching this last night and am i glad I did, while not really up there with Amer in my opinion it is still a feast for the eyes.
The whole film is fantastically shot with colours looking vibrant and sound really hitting the mark, again I will say this would have stepped up to another level had it been released on Blu but for now what the hell it looks very good indeed.
Don't really try to understand it just let it wash over you much the same way Amer did and take out of it your own conclusions. Great stuff and very highly recommended.

Blood Rage (1987)

Thanksgiving slasher Blood Rage (AKA: Nightmare at Shadow Woods) tells the tale of twins Todd and Terry, the latter of whom goes psycho at a drive-in movie theatre with an axe as a young boy and then frames his shocked brother leading him to get locked away in a mental asylum. Now, several years later, Thanksgiving will be ruined as Todd has escaped and is out for vengeance.

Blood Rage is full of your usual slasher elements; teens, partying, nudity, and some nicely executed kills with plenty of the red stuff (blood of course, not cranberry sauce as the script seems to take delight in repeatedly referring to). Also, for such a low budget affair the performances are all pretty decent; especially from Mark Soper who plays both Todd and Terry and seamlessly moves from one persona to another with ease throughout. Louise Lasser as the twins' mother also puts in a solid performance slowly losing her sanity as the film ticks along and the bodies start to pile up.

Whilst nothing groundbreaking and despite knowing the identity of the real killer within the first 10 minutes of the film, Blood Rage is an enjoyable little slasher with plenty going on that I'd happily seek out again.
